CHAPTER 62

Adele was sitting on her couch, lost in her thoughts. She had been waiting for hours for Deborah, her agent, to call her and tell her the good news. She wants to get a song that she was sure would be a hit, and Deborah had promised to a buyer for it. Adele checked her phone again, hoping to see Deborah's name on the screen. Suddenly, it lit up. She smiled and picked it up. It was Deborah. She pressed the answer button and said eagerly, "Hello, Deborah. Were you able to seal the deal?"

There was a brief silence on the other end, before Deborah answered in a low voice. "Hmm, you won't believe this. He asked for a hundred thousand. Imagine, a whole hundred thousand for a newbie. I feel it's not worth it. And he was even arrogant."
