A month had passed since Hamza's trip to London for the recording with Adele. Upon returning to the US, things were about to get very interesting.
Hamza called his lawyer Samuel to discuss the producer contract he was offered. Samuel reviewed it carefully and advised Hamza to think it over - it seemed too good to be true.
The contract included a standard 7-year term to encompass the initial album and option period for 5 additional albums. However, there was an important clause added that if at any point Hamza wished to terminate the contract early, before delivering the obligated albums, he would be required to pay a breakage fee to the label.
