Chapter 82: Rise up
Friday nights at the SHOL bar were typically bustling, with its 250-seat capacity nearly filled to the brim. However, tonight was an exception. The turnout was lower than expected, a sign of both stiff competition and Shawn’s rigid management style. While he was an excellent manager, his no-nonsense approach to impartiality often ruffled feathers, especially among performers who attempted to leverage their popularity to gain undue advantages. Shawn wasn’t one to tolerate such antics and would remove anyone he deemed disruptive.
The bar itself was well-structured. The counter was strategically placed near the stage, a mere two meters away, creating an intimate connection between performers and patrons. A side door by the counter led to the staff room, which housed a modest kitchen for small chops on the left and Shawn’s office on the right.
