“I know.” Carrie looked toward her outfit. Her golden white outfit that felt so right. “No one said being Mrs. Claus didn't come with a price, and I appreciate the fact that you did tell me the whole truth. You didn’t just get me to agree, and not share the second part. That’s a lot more like a real partner.” That did make a difference. “Five years is at least not right away. It'll give me time to think.”
“A price like this shouldn't be paid,” Kris complained. “No one’s ever set the Claus’ connection in stone like this before.”
“Whoah.” The dragon puffed out smoke from his nose. “No. No way, trust me. A marriage isn’t good enough for you.”
