Chapter 50

Walter knocked on the door the way he always did.

Loud enough to attract attention but short enough to not be mistaken for anything other than a call to the door.

Rayne Dearcroft opened the door and his easy grin split his face instantly.

"Come in," How Rayne adopted such a warm tone so quickly and to anybody, Walter did not understand.

The green-haired man hurried to where his two female cousins waited at the large desk and Walter shut the door behind him slowly.

He walked over to the desk and realized that, as usual, the three would not stop talking over each other, typing franctically and overall being quite unorganized.

Walter scrunched his nose.

He hated when people did not do things the proper way.

And so did Bruce.

Which is why Walter admired Clara Kane's right-hand man.

He was dependable, smart, and got things done exactly the way he promised.
