When Walter had looked around and seen Cassandra waiting for him, his heart had stopped. Cassandra was sure of it.
All of his usual reflexes and responses had been thrown out the window. She could see it in how his eyes held her gaze, his mind going back to the day before when she had taken him into a room and rocked his whole world in bed.
Cassandra knew that was what Walter was seeing.
And she also knew that he was physically incapable of turning her away.
Cassandra was almost cackling to herself as she went up in the elevator.
It was too easy, she realized. It was too easy having someone like Walter wrapped around her finger that way.
She had decided to play with him for a specific reason.
He was given the job of assisting the Dearcrofts at their work.
This meant that messing with Walter even a little bit could get her directly into the business of the Dearcrofts.
