"Lavender come here this instant"Her boss, Mrs Flora shouted ,after a short while a small slim slihotte came in with a nervous expression

"The goods you ordered were not delivered on time and the client decided to cancel the deals and we lost a lot of funds"she screamed

"I'm so sorry ma'am but it wasn't my fault ,a car hit my bike and all the goods got destroyed and ruined"she tried to explain but her boss was having none of it

"Do I look like I care, those goods that got destroyed cost about a thousand bucks and you are going to pay for everything"she barked

"But you can't... you can't fire me I really need this job, I really do"she said

"Ooh but I can fire you, I just did it right now,go get yourself another job and you only have one week to pay your damages now GET OUT"

With a angry and sad expression, Lavender left the store and rode with her pink scooter.

Right then her phone rang she checked the ID and saw that it was her best friend Jade and she picked it up and stopped her scooter

"Ok I'm coming" she said and cut the call. Jade smiled because she knows that Lavender is coming to vent all her emotions.

Lavender shoved her phone in her pocket, then checked her watch for her heart rate, which was normal. She sighed and started her scooter and rode to the cafe.

Lavender is a girl with a busy life style who works day and night to make ends meet. She lost her parents in a tragic car accident when she was just 10 years old and has been an orphan ever since. To make things worse, she suffered from heart failure when she was 18. Still, she kept her condition a secret except from her best friend, Jade. But after she had come of age, she started to live life on her own. And still lived as a cheerful, carefree individual.

"I don't know what to do Jade, I have lost this job that pays all because of that jerk who hit my scooter"Lavender said while stuffing her mouth with donut

"I'm really sorry that happens to you but you have to do something about Mrs Flora, you know she can do something crazy when she angry"Jade said

"Umm Umm" She spoke with her mouth full of donuts

"Lavender, don't get another heart attack, Have you visited the doctor this month"she asked and lavender gave a huge gulp and swallowed the whole food in her mouth

"No Jade I will go this week"she replied

"Are you still taking your pills?"

Lavender nods with a slightly upset look.

The Cafe door opens and a lovely couple walked in, they look so in love with each other. Lavender sighed and rested her head on the table looking upset.

"Did you see that couple that walked in"she asked

"Can't you see they look so much in love I wish I can fall in love too" she said with a day dreaming expression

"Um, Lavender you know you can fall in love too"Jade replied

"I know but it is just that "she took a deep breath " Because of my heart condition,I don't really want a guy to really love me because when I leave I don't want to hurt him"she said feeling sad

" I see your point I'm really sorry. But let's just hope that won't happen"Jade said feeling sympathetic

"No biggie, I have to sort out my bills first"she said and suddenly changed into a more cheerful mood

Jade smile"You really should" she replied

"I will" she replied and turned back again and grabbed her remaining donut and left there leaving Jade chuckling at her childishness.
