There was a boy in Palestine who was nineteen years old. He had memorized the Quran and was studying software engineering. He was recovering at the Al Aqsa hospital. And when the hospital was bombed again, he and his mother perished in flames. Just like everyone else, he had dreams that he badly wanted to accomplish. He had aims that he wanted to fulfill and he wasn't willing to give up. Do you know what made him die? It was the selfishness of the people who are silent regarding this genocide. Death is unexpected for everyone and dying in this way is certainly not something that one would wish upon their worst enemies. Despite so many bodies falling, the screams of all these people remained unheard by the entire world. Even though people knew what was going on in this country, everyone chose to turn a blind eye to it.
On January 15,2025 Israel and Hamas agreed for a framework for a cease fire and hostage release, officially signing the agreement on January 16,2025. This agreement aimed to halt the conflict in Gaza and included provisions for the release of Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners. Despite of this agreement, mass people were killed from January 15 to January 17 over 100 Palestinians were killed due to the air strikes including children and women ( source : Al Jazeera, The US Sun, The Guardian and Financial Times). This agreement wasn't acted upon and it barely took them one day to continue the air strikes again.
A few days ago, on March 18,2025 Israeli military forces conducted extensive air strikes and artillery shelling all across multiple regions of the Gaza strip resulting in significant difficulties. Reports indicate that at least 404 people were killed with an additional 560 individuals wounded. This escalation marked the most substantial attack since the ceasefire agreement which took place only two months ago (source : Wikipedia). Countries like: Jordan, Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey expressed strong approval against the actions of the Israeli military forces. Additionally the United Nations officials called for an immediate cesssation of violence and emphasized the urgent need for a political resolution to the conflict ( source: the Guardian).
Now let me remind everyone that this is the month of Ramadan, a holy month in the Islamic calendar. This month is extremely significant for the Muslim people as they fast the entire month and abstain from certain things in order to satisfy their Lord. In a country called Palestine there is barely any food left for the people and the continuous bombing resulted in the loss of lives of the people, loss of shelter, healthcare services etc. The air strikes during Ramadan caused a lot of people to lose their lives while many remained injured. During a month of peace and mercy, no mercy was shown to these people. Some people died while they were fasting. After the end of the month named Ramadan, the Muslims celebrate on the first day of the Shwwal month. This day is called Eid ul Fitr, where people wear new clothes, visit the mosque, eat delicious foods and celebrate the day with their loved ones.
This festival is the most exciting for children as they collect eidi on this day. And their happiness and celebration is getting destroyed by the mass killing of people. There are barely any occasions for them to be happy for as they are losing their loved ones including their friends and family. Children are called the future of the country and their dreams will continue to be ruined because of the ongoing conflict. Children are hopeful and optimistic. They like to dream of the unimaginable. These dreams will never to turn into reality as long as the innocent people in Palestine continue to get killed.
As of April 24,2024 Israel has dropped 70,000 tons of bombs in the Gaza Strip since Oct9ber 2023 (source: Wikipedia). This has surprassed the combined bomb tonnage dropped on Dresden, Hunsbrug and London during the 2nd world War. It is acknowledged that the most harmed cities during the second world War were Hiroshima and Nagasaki of Japan.
In Hiroshima, 15000 tons of bombs and in Nagasaki, 21000 tons of bombs were dropped which means that all together 36000 tons of bombs were dropped in these two cities. Even though these two cities have physically recovered, radiatuon effects along with the cultural and physiological impact still remains present right now.
As a result of the bombing, the survivors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki faced radiation sickness, cancer and social discrimination in Japan. Furthermore, in Palestine the survivors face continuous war, displacement, lack of food and shelter, less availability of healthcare services and providers, water shortages, internet connection being cut and restricted movement due to blockades and military control. The genocide in Gaza remains an unresolved conflict with ongoing occupation, military action and humanitarian crises affecting millions of people.
Besides Israel has conducted military operations involving aerial bombings in several countries primarily within the middle East. Some of these countries include Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen. Firstly there were two conflicts and operations conducted in Lebanon. First was the 2006 Lebanon war and the next one is the 2024 Israeli invansion of Lebanon. In the first one, a 34 day military conflict occured between Israel and Hezbollah resulting in significant infrastructure damage in Lebanon. Approximately 1191 Lebanese mostly civilians were killed. Infrastructure damage was estimated to be over 2.5 billion dollars. In the next one, following escalations with Hezbollah, Israel launched extensive air strikes targeting militant positions. This resulted in significant casualties and displacement. And the southern part of Lebanon was extremely destroyed (source : Wikipedia).
Secondly in Syria, numerous air strikes have been conducted by Israel from the year 2013 to the present. These strikes have led to military and civilian casualties and the destruction of military installations.
Thirdly israel has reportedly targeted weapons depots and bases of Iranian backed militias in in Iraq in 2019. The strikes aimed to disrupt weapon transfer to militant groups.
Finally Israel conducted air strikes targeting positions of the houthi rebels who are alligned with Iran in 2024.
Now my question to everyone is that even after knowing everything will you continue to be silent and ignore these un"heard" screams?
