The planet of Athos, Teyla Emmagen

I pressed the chevrons on the control console, the corresponding constellation symbols lighting on the stargate. The stargate itself was different than the one on Earth and was almost entirely blue in colouration, the constellations lighting in a pitch light blue colour. Once i had punched in the 7 chevrons the stargate's constellations glowed even brighter as a massive blast of water, reminiscent of someone dropping something of significant weight in a body of water, shot outwards and feel back to the water-like exterior of the stable wormhole.

I flared my wings outwards, all six of them lightly fluttering as i did so, and glided down to from the control room balcony to the entrance of the stargate. Figuring that i could potentially meet people on the other side i prepared a hiking bag and filled it with food, water and books, as if i had been travelling and bartering or something along those lines.

Once my preparations were complete I confidently stepped through the water surface of the wormhole. With a high pitched whining sound i travelled through the spatial tunnel, burrowing past lightyears worth of space in less then a fraction of a second.

I stepped out of the stargate, my vision adjusting to the temperate climate of the surrounding forest. The blue sun in the sky lightly tinted the planets' surface with cobalt blues that made the Forest look darker than it actually was. I looked back at the stargate and watched as the water surface of the wormhole faded into particle of light and then disappeared, revealing more trees behind the gate.

[Ding! Completed Mission: Explore other planets in the Pegasus Galaxy.]

'Hmmm, seems decent enough i suppose...'

[Ding! Sin of Indifference has been unlocked!]

[Power of Indifference: Allows you to completely ignore emotions and stimuli, making you effectively a machine. You have the power to slowly siphon off a being emotions until they become a lifeless husk with no soul, this ability has great risks in use. You can create an aura of indifference around yourself that cloaks you from normal vision, smell, hearing, heat vision and night vision. You gain a halo that will combine with other Virtues and Sins, this Halo, when used, amplifies these abilities.]

This made me flabbergasted somewhat as i did very little but ignore a prompt from the system, how was that supposed to unlock Indifference? My emotions were becoming playthings for the Virtues and Sins apparently as in naught but a second another prompt from the system came up again.

[Ding! Virtue of Temperance has been unlocked!]

[Chains of Temperance: You have the ability to add the idea of Temperance to any spell/skill, effectively making you able to boost the power of said ability or spell depending on how you are restraining it. This virtue grants the ability to control other Virtues and Sins with greater effects. You gain a halo that will combine with other Virtues and Sins, this Halo, when used, amplifies these abilities.]

I was over the fight between both sides at this point, i was supposed to be a Nephilim, a balanced species of Good and Evil but now I had to collect these ridiculously competitive Virtues and Sins that couldn't be outdone by the other. I started walking through the forest in front of the Stargate, the smell of fresh earth, rain and creatures bringing a sense of calm to my mind.

My walk continued for half an hour as i started to smell food being cooked and the faint sign of campfire smoke rising above the canopy of the forest, through a small crack in said canopy. It seemed that people were present on the world after all. I put away my wings and briefly activated my Jigenkan to make sure and yes, yes there were people on this planet. I deactivated my eyes a second later and started to hoof it further towards the village, maybe they will know where the mining site is, or maybe they are living on top of it, i didn't know but that was my hope.

Striding through the forest I soon came to a clearing where I could see hundreds of people walking around, eating, sleeping, conversing and other stuff... I had a look at their weapons which were mainly spears and makeshift swords, worn by rather burly men that looked like they were once part of a sophisticated society but had now become tribesmen. I scanned some more, i had activated my indifference earlier so i could do this scouting.

After ten minutes of look i decided to bring out my Eclipse Harbingers and attached them to my waist. Following that i stepped out, fully visible to all of them. Countless people in the gathering of huts and campfires noticed me immediately their eyes widening and cries for warriors sounding.

'I see, very peaceful greeting...'

Following the hubbub a group of warriors led by a large burly man with a greying beard stepped forward to greet me, followed in tow by a small brow-skinned woman with light brown eyes and muscles as packed as a six pack of beer. I instantly recognised the woman as Teyla Emmagan from the show Stargate Atlantis. The warriors stepped into a ring around me, their spears held towards me as their leader, the grey haired man with the rugged jawline and Arnold Schwarzenegger esc body, stepped forward.

"Who be you? Your purpose, what is it?"

'Mhhhhmmm, Do or do not, there is no try... He speaks like Yoda...'

[Pffft, he does!

🎶Rockin'

Rockin' and rollin'

Down to the beach I'm strolling🎶]

'Haha stop it, I'll embarrass myself in front of these... Nah, too late.'

"Pahaha! What is with the way you are speaking!?" I hunched down in laughter as the man looked at me with stunned confusion. Teyla was chuckling to the side whilst some of the guards also began to have smiles break through their tough exteriors. Finally after a minute straight of laughing i finally recollected myself and attempted to take the matter of diplomacy seriously.

"Finished have you?"

'NOPE!'

"HAHAHA, hahaha!"

He scowled at me as some of the guards openly laughed this time, their defences dropping somewhat at the sight of a beautiful woman cackling because of their leader's bad speech.

"Ahum, I am Teyla Emmagen, i will speak from here on out. Can i know of your name please?" With her interference all of the previously slacking men came to attention again, their spears re-aiming at me. My hilarity had started to die down as i watched the seriousness of the woman in front of me and the obvious anger on the man's face.

"Huu, i'm sorry, he just sounded so serious when he was saying things backwards... No offense. My name is Emelia Lionheart, my business," I looked at the grey haired man, who looked somewhat saddened by the laughter of his friends, "Is to find the Ancient's Mining site!"

"Ancients? Who are they?"

'Huh?'
