Slaaneshi Shenanigans

As soon as we entered the Baal System we swept the entire system for signs of hostile ships or even ships in general. Unfortunately for us we immediately detected a fleet of ships, they were something close to the Imperial Vessels but had tentacles and other aspects growing from the exterior. The Custodes immediately became serious as they took over some station, having a look at some of the telemetry, their intelligence allowing them to comprehend what our words and symbology meant.

"They are Heretics captain general. From the looks of it, they are Slaaneshi in origin."

Seriousness took over the entire bridge as my people all started to attach collars around their necks, a device that could passively resist warp taint. It was technology I had gained after merging Forerunner tech with Ancient tech, it seemed both civilisations had travelled in the dimension to some extent or had just coincidentally gotten two separate pieces to the puzzle.

"All hands to battle stations, Justiciara, please come to the bridge." Within moments Justiciara was beside me, her expression completely malevolent as she gazed on at the heretic ships that were filled with depravity.

"Mistress, I am here. What do you need of me?"

"My main goal is to get to Baal, I need the armada to engage the Slaaneshi fleet. Use run and hit tactics, their speed is shit in comparison to ours. Be careful of other fleets exiting the Warp, where there is one there is usually more."

She nodded and disappeared, the entire capital vessel moving and relaying commands to the other AI. The captains of several ships began to yell orders to their own crews as soon space was filled with black dust particles. Dark Matter shielding swirled and swooned as a couple small ships disappeared into wormhole travel, re-appearing behind the Slaaneshi fleet and crushing two corvettes, vanishing just as quick.

The Custodes watched on in complete seriousness as they for sure made record of each ship's capabilities and power. Ignoring the custard boys I began to scan the planet Baal. The scans were not conducive to a good picture. Apparently the Slaaneshi daemons and space marines had landed on the planet in an attempt to grab Sanguinius's body, perhaps a move the Chaos Gods had made to interfere between me and Emps. I opened the weave of time and had a glimpse.

...

Jagged tongue glided over the dead body of the angel himself, his preserved corpse lightly bleeding as his wings were slung over numerous wires. There were tens of daemons sliding up and down his body in many places. I was utterly revolted.

Peering further, I noticed that this would interfere in my plans and actually destroy the cosmos quicker. 'You fuckers!!!' Pissed off and angry I exited the vision, my powers fully deploying around me as the entire ship quaked with my raw energy.

...

"Justiciara! Wipe that fleet out, I don't care what weapons you use, finish them quicker!"

She didn't even get a chance to respond as i looked at the Captain General. He was looking at me deadpan. "Captain general, gather your men. We must get to the surface of Baal, to Sanguinius's Tomb. Otherwise the daemons will take hold of the Emperor's son."

Deadpan was immediately replaced with hatred and he slammed his staff on the ground, sending communications through the Vox network they all had.

"Brothers, it is time to save the Primarch Sanguinius."

Responses came, but they were all muted and dull as they fed directly into the ears of the Captain General. Moving past that I issued some orders for the majority of the army in the Armada to be prepared for imminent combat. We would be beaming down to the planet, no transport ship or anything, it would be too risky and too slow.

"Sweethearts, I am sorry but please stay here. Help out if you can or wish to do so... I have complete faith in all of you." I gave each of them a kiss before teleporting myself and the Custodes down to the beaming bay, my own guards already ready in the bay. The soldiers were still quick however as they entered not long after, my ship's forces, a total of 10,000 men, were assembled before me.

"Turn on your anti-warp technology... We are versing Slaaneshi Daemons! Do not grow complacent though, they will use any attraction to them to fuck with your minds! Got it!? Good! Let's go!"

When my miniature speech completed we were whisked down to the surface of Baal, the Custodes in a formation already.

...

Over 2000 vessels of the Veritas Imperium unleashed weaponry of a scale not seen since the War in Heaven 60 million years ago. An entire Battleship was sundered in seconds as a vibrant monolithic purple beam of magic instantly traversed the distance between the The Dark Justiciar. Perforated ceramite and various other metallic materials exploded outwards as the ship imploded on itself, the very warp crack out amidst the vessel, consuming it in seconds.

The once alone Slaaneshi fleet was now met with completely unexpected resistance. Cruisers, Battleships, Destroyers, Corvettes and other smaller vessels turned to attempt a response as several of their back line ships were cracked into thousands of pieces. Macro cannons sundered shells at extreme velocities only to be met with open space as a wormhole sucked up the vessels that had destroyed their lesser ships. Another lance of energy slashed across the hull of a cruiser, its hull tearing into pieces as blood froze in the midst of space, the fleshy parts of the daemon machine being torn off.

Tentacles whipped angrily off of the side of the ships as more macro cannons fires, laser weaponry following soon after. The lasers were practically infinite in range and impacted against an obsidian black shielding, having little to no impact. Chaos vessels toppled end over end as the weaponry employed by the Veritas fleet created opposing momentum. In space a noise could soon be heard, but not of sound waves, this was a psychic attack. An intense pink purple colour sprinkled like sparkles against the exterior of a battleship, seemingly doing no damage.

Ignoring this provocation the Chaos Vessels burned their hell engines to get to the Veritas Fleet at a much faster speed. Except, that battleship could not move. Its engines flickered out as the hull started to turn a bright red, the very structure of the ship melting into molten slag. Screams of daemons and cultists ceased completely as the vacuum of space invaded the ship. The vessel now tumbled through space, a wreckage.

It had been but five minutes since the start of the engagement and half of the Slaaneshi fleet was eradicated, the others struggling to contain the fires and explosions that rocked the entire scaffolding of the ships.

"Commander Justiciara, we have destroyed 48% of the enemy fleet."

"Good. Continue, we must not let them survive... Not a single vessel will leave this system without Mistress's express orders!"

"Confirmed Commander."

A green particle beam started to gathering on the very front of one of the Veritas Imperium's Battleships. Space seemed to squeeze and shatter slightly under the weight of whatever was charging. Then, as if the mass was but a figment of the imagination the green particle energy disappeared, emerging amongst the remaining corvettes and cruisers. In but a moment all of the moving ships were halted and pulled back, the metal and material that made them being spaghettified under intense gravitational waves. Explosions sundered the eyesight of many devices in the capital vessel of the Veritas Imperium.

Outside it was more gruesome as a mighty daemon fleet was condensed into a ball of scrappy metals and flesh. No life was left within the Chaos fleet and the remnants attempted to flee, this was only met by the rapidly appearing wormhole ambushers. The entire fleet was squashed like a cockroach.

"Commander, entire Chaos fleet has been utterly demolished. Scavenging crews?"

"Declined, no one is to get near that remaining debris."

"Understood."

Standing on the bridge of the Dark Justiciar Justiciara and Emelia's women all stood, happiness and excitement on their faces as they just experienced space combat for the first time. Selene was super proud as she had made some suggestions to Justiciara. Jean was happy because she was the one who fired the psychic weapon, she enjoyed the melting it caused. Hela was rather neutral as she merely watched the fight, not interested in joining a space fight, she liked melee.

"Justiciara, could you send me down to the surface?"

Hela was the one to ask as Emelia's other women looked hopefully at the IAI. Justiciara glanced at them, returning her vision to the battlefield and sensors.

"I shouldn't."

"Come on! We just destroyed the fleet! What if Emelia gets in danger?" The IAI cracked a little in her expression as she considered what that would mean. Her demeanour shifted into frustration and reluctance.

"Why do you make me think of things like that?"

"Because we have the same worries." Justiciara turned to look at Hela who was the main spokesperson of this proposal. Shaking her head and grumbling a little the IAI just beamed the three of them down to Emelia's exact coordinates.

'Please don't hate me mistress... They coerced me with my own worries...'
