CHAPTER 25: ANALYSIS.

Mr Bishop returned from the meeting. He headed back to his office using the elevator, accompanied by Gomez.

"When do you think will the perfect day for the introduction?" Mr Bishop asked Gomez. "The introduction of my son as the new CEO I mean."

"You are already handing over to him?" Gomez asked.

'Yes, do you think it's too fast?" Mr Bishop inquired.

"Not at all sir, I just thought you should give him more time to get familiar with the company operation generally.

"Mm," Mr Bishop sighed as he thought tapping Gomez shoulder as they arrived his office.

Mr Bishop entered his office as Gomez had pressed the unlocked button meeting Justin deep in his thoughts.

"Hey son."

Mr Bishop had stood there for some time, and Justin couldn't notice his presence.

"Oh! You're back," Justin asked, snapping out of his thoughts.

"Yes," Mr Bishop responded.

Justin nodded his head in acknowledgement.

"You don't have to think on the matter at the moment," Mr Bishop said. "Just enjoy yourself and get more familiar with my operations in general."

"Alright," Justin responded and smiled softly.

"I think I should get you something to eat. You must be famished, right?" Gomez asked Justin.

Justin looked at Mr Bishop expecting his confirmation.

"Yes, do get him something to eat," Mr Bishop responded.

"Alright sir," Gomez said and reached into his suit pocket, brought out his cell phone as he placed a call to Agnes requesting her to get lunch for Justin.

"I can see you are more comfortable now than ever?" Gomez asked Justin and smiled.

"Yes, of course," Justin replied looking at Mr Bishop. "Things seem more real and clearer now."

Mr Bishop looked at Gomez as they both smiled.

A few moments later, Agnes returned with two packages in hand.

"I got these from your favorite restaurant sir," she announced.

"Fourth favorite," Mr Bishop corrected.

"Right," she smiled and placed them on the center table before Justin, as she gave him another seductive look.

"I hope you don't mind, but also got it for you, sir," Agnes revealed.

"Oh, not at all. As a matter of fact, I'm hungry. You really seem to know what I need per time," Mr Bishop praised Agnes, making her smile.

Mr Bishop stood up from his seat and took off his suit, and sat beside Justin, unpacking the meal.

"Come join us," Mr Bishop requested of Gomez.

"Thank you sir, but am okay," he humbly declined the offer.

"If you may excuse me sir, I need to go take care of something," Gomez requested.

Mr Bishop nodded his head once granting Gomez the permission to take his leave.

Gomez bowed slightly and exited the office.

Justin looked at Gomez as he exited the office wondering If Gomez was actually not hungry.

"Can I get you anything else, sir?" Agnes asked.

"No. We're good. Or do you need anything else? Mr Bishop asked Justin.

"No, I'm good," Justin responded as he picked up the cutleries and began eating.

Mr Bishop also began eating as well.

"I'll be outside, if you need me," Agnes said, exiting the office as well.

Justin devoured the meal, voraciously. Mr Bishop smiled, looking at his son eat that way. Justin caught sight of his father smiling at him. He reciprocated the smile, continuing with his meal.

Soon after, they were done, and Mr Bishop went back to his seat, and turned on his laptop and scrolled down to the companies history records of the past fourteen years.

"Would you like to see some records of my conglomerate?" Mr Bishop asked Justin.

"Yes, sure," Justin responded, as Mr Bishop turned the laptop over to Justin.

"Take your time and go through them. I believe you will get more enlightened."

Justin looked intently at what was before him, making expressions of amazement. Shortly after, Gomez requested to come in bringing in some files from Agnes's desk.

"These are for you to sign sir," Gomez said dropping the files on the table.

Mr Bishop picked up the files and glanced through them and nodded his head in acknowledgement.

Gomez looked at Justin and smiled softly as he noticed Justin's seriousness. He bowed and exited the office.

"Can you go through these files briefly?" Mr Bishop asked Justin, still testing his abilities.

"Sure," Justin responded as he stretched out his right hand and picked the files.

He quickly went through them and handed them over Mr Bishop.

"I think it's good enough," Justin said.

Mr Bishop nodded his head in acceptance. As he went ahead to sign the files.

__________

Joey was still restless and curious to know what Justin was doing there. Competitive jealousy was setting in, and it drove him nuts not knowing how or why Justin was so casual with Mr Bishop, of all people.

He headed straight to the head of his department's office, Mr Cornell.

"Excuse me sir," Joey requested.

"Come in Joey," Mr Cornell responded granting him access, thinking it was a normal daily work visitation.

"What is it Joey?"

"Umm, I just wanted to know who was that young man walking with the boss sir," Joey struggled to speak up.

"Why do you want to know, if I may ask?" Mr Cornell questioned Joey looking straight to his eyes.

"No, nothing specifically sir," Joey responded. "I was just wondering, wasn't he a bit to casual with the boss, for a person of his class?"

"Nothing to worry about, I believe he's just some special client," Mr Cornell said as he was also wondering who he Justin was.

"Anything else?" he asked.

"No sir," Joey replied.

"Good. You can go back to work," Mr Cornell instructed.

Joey nodded his head and exited the office, still not satisfied with the response he got from Mr Cornell.

But he couldn't have done anything else than to sit and watch, as no one else could have given him a better explanation than what Mr Cornell gave.

"There is no need to be worried," Joey comforted himself, seemingly paranoid, as he returned to his desk.

"It can't be anything important Justin has to do with Mr Bishop, more than what am doing here. Mm mm."

He sat down and picked his phone as he started scrolling looking for nothing in particular, chewing on his nails.

___________

"I think we should call it a day," Mr Bishop said to Justin.

"Sure," Justin responded rounding up from the particular page on the laptop he was viewing.

Mr Bishop reached out to Gomez, requesting him to get the vehicles ready.

Gomez did as he was instructed, as he hurriedly made his way back to the office, as they all headed out, locking the door.

They headed to the ground floor using the private elevator as they headed to the parking lot.

Joey who happened to be at the reception desk, flirting with the receptionist, saw them heading out. He saw Justin once again, walking in the company of Mr Bishop, and his men.

He felt that this was his final opportunity to make his move, and approach Justin, despite the guards. His mind was made up.
