Pawn- A chess piece

I come back too my room and lay down on bed thinking about the "password" that was shared to me just a 40 minutes ago.

"Why would the wolf choose me?"

Just as i was immersed in my thoughts amelia came in the room.

"Hey, are you going to sleep?"

"No. im not sleepy, but i wanna tell you about something"

Since natalya and I have spent most of our lives together, we have come to trust each other more than anyone and thus we promised each other to share anything and everything with each other. And for that reason, ill tell her about this entire password thing.

"I see, so you got a private message telling you about the password. I hope youre not planning on trusting tha-"

"NO. ofcourse not"

I instantly assured her that i wasnt planning on using the password right now.

"Good. I also wanted to say something"

"Oh and that is?"

"I have managed to come close to amelia, Infact, im probably the only person she actually trusts. As charismatic as she seems she is trying to burry down all her feelings inside her heart and not show them to other people....except me."

So its been 1 day and natalya has already manipulated a person. Im so proud of her.

"What happened? Tell me in detail."

**NATALYA'S POV**

**Rewinding 40 minutes back in the dining room**

"Im done! Thanks for the food I'll be going to my room now" Said ausable

Aww man he's already finished his food? i was hoping he would stay a bit longer. That ichika girl seems troublesome i need to tell him to stay away from her.

"Okay! im done too! thanks for the food!"

Just like that everyone finished their food and the amount of people in the dining room was slowly going down.

"Natalya? you have already finished your food....you arent gonna go back to your room?"

Amelia asks me why im not going back to my room, forgetting the fact that she herself finished food earlier before me but decided to stay.

'You are going hard on yourself, Amelia."

Her eyes widen and she seems confused

"Huh? what do you mean?"

"Isnt your plan to wait till i go and do everyones dishes all by your own?"

Just after i said that amelia's expression changed into a mix of surprise and slowly changed into a smile.

"Mrs natalya....you really are very observing there. Dont worry i got the dishes though"

I stand up and help her take the dishes to the kitchen.

"Im not kidding! Natalya! i got this, you can go sleep!!"

Looks like she wont let me do the dishes with her....hmm....

"I wanted to chat with you a little bit.... and if i am gonna do that might as well help you clean the dishes."

"Oh....but still we can talk while i-"

"Because if i dont help you, im gonna think about it all day and ill be sad for the rest of the week."

"oh.....in that case....i guess you can help me."

Amelia is the type to go very far in order to please other people. She is one of the highest people pleasures i have ever met. So the only way to help with the dishes was was to make her think my feelings would be hurt if i didnt help her.

"So....what did you wanna talk about?"

"We often think about how we can help others..... how we can make a better world thinking for them and making there lives easy. But....as beautiful as a world like that sounds.....helping everyone is always impossible."

"....um.....where are you going with this?"

"Amelia stepanova, one of the most famous singer in our city who is known for her bright smile and charming looks."

"i see.....so you know about me...."

"Yeah! infact i had many friends who used to love your albums....until you suddenly disappeared and were never seen again."

"oh....i see..."

"What if i tell you i know the reason you disappeared?"

Just after the words i had spoken she looked at me in the eyes and came close to me. Her eyes watery and it appeared she was on the verge of crying. I swiftly pull her closer to myself and give her a tight hug ensuring that her cries dont reach the other rooms.

"n-no...t-tell me you are lying..."

"She lived such a happy and fulfilling life...yet you chose to take it away from her"

"NO NO NO STO-"

I put my hand on her mouth to make sure she doesnt scream.

"And that mistake made you such a people pleaser. You're just a pretend. you are no help."

"UGHHH SHUT UP SHUT UP"

"But the best thing about you is that you never stop. You only help others."

She hugs me back and cries more.

"T-the more i try the worse it gets.... i feel like im just an asshole to those around me."

"You really are pathetic. Perhaps the useless you comes handy to me, hmmf actually nevermind you're gonna make it worse."

"NO NO NO, WAIT TELL ME WHAT IS IT. ILL PROVE TO YOU THAT IM NOT PATHETIC."

"Be my pawn."

'b-be your pawn..?"

"yes. you are going to help me and ausable win the game. and once all this is over, im going to promise to pay for your friends coma and her debt."

"D-do you really think you can do that?!"

"yes, and i am also willing to prove that you arent a bad person."

"....o-okay! I will do it, ill be your pawn."
