Rosemary's POV:
I flip the runes' sheet on its face and make sure to shove it under the three books I had piled up on my desk.
She waits for no invitation, Ava leaps inside my room the moment I open the window. I take a look outside to see if anyone is watching what just happened before closing it again when I conclude that nobody did.
I turn to address her only to note that she is suspiciously standing in the corner, the furthest one from where I am.
"What are you doing?" I arch my eyebrows.
"Nathanael said that I needed to give you your space," she says confidently.
Izzy doesn't comment, but I bet she's dying to. Amused, she just chuckles at Ava's response instead.
"Yeah well, I am pretty sure that's not what he had in my mind," I mutter under my breath after sighing.
I must say that while I do find babysitting Ava a bit annoying, I can't help but think she's adorable.
