Between the ground and the sky

Rosemary's pov:

Walking through the museum at night inspires an odd feeling in my depths. It's not foreign or unfamiliar, on the contrary, it's all too near and dear like. Perhaps it's the warm lights striking the colors around me, or perhaps it's just the memories of me sneaking around to hide from the security guard when I was kid.

Of the many places my father's job led us to, the museum, by far, wasn't my favorite, but it still made the list of the places I loved visiting with him.

"You like it here?" Nathanael's voice brings me out of my cushy thoughts.

I stop in my tracks as well the moment I realize he's stopped, "What? No, yeah… Like I told you before, I've lived in this town my whole life, I have memories almost everywhere around it," I can't hide my smile.
