Stuck at a bottleneck

Some days had passed since Robert's meeting with Pyke .

Robert was playing a competitive shooter game on his PC

"Killing spree" a voice in the game notified as Robert takes out three player's with ease

"headshot"

"Double kill"

"Killing spree"

"Annihilation"

" Triple kill"

The notifications sounded as Robert was killing many players with ease

"Man ,this player's are just noobs and it's kinda of boring , well gotta find stronger guns in case l meet some pro" Robert sighed as he said and he looked at the map and began moving towards a warehouse as he approaches the warehouse , a shot sounded

"Warning player's health deceasing" a notification warned

"Shit that's a sneak attack " Robert was taken unaware and his character was crouching on the ground due to receiving damage , then his character crouched Into the back of vehicle and healed his character.

After healing his character , he used the scope of his Gun to try and locate the enemy , but couldn't locate the enemy.

"Bang" suddenly another shot rang and it took Robert by suprise.

"Player annihilated" a notification sounded and Robert's screen went white and he his character was back in the lobby

"Damn that was a sniper " Robert slammed his hand on his desk in annoyance.

"Well let check the player that took me too" he checked the leader board and saw he was ranked third in today's match , he checked his status to see the player that killed him and saw the name , Neon blade

" Hmm,Who is this Neon blade" Robert wondered and checked who ranked first , it was the player , Neonblade

"Looks like this player is a pro" Robert sighed and he put down his video game headset and he went out of the game and a dark gaming wallpaper appeared on the PC's screen.

"Ah , this is outrageous l haven't been able to break through to the ninth stage of the spirit refining realm for a month now" Robert sighed as he laid backwards on his gaming chair then Lin zhong appears out of the crystal

" You are still finding it difficult to progress till now" Lin zhong sighed with a sign of worry

" And the annoying part is that l have consumed 60 medium grade spiritual stones and yet nothing" Robert said solemnly

" Sometimes cultivators do get stuck at a bottleneck in cultivation and they find it hard to breakthrough into the next realm , but even if you were to meet a bottleneck it shouldn't be in the eight stage it is usually at the ninth stage" Lin zhong explained to him

"So how do l break through this bottleneck now , aren't they any pills that make me break through " Robert asked Lin zhong who looked at him

"Well they are numerous pills in the crystal that can help you break through the bottleneck but" Lin zhong paused

"But what master" Robert asked anxiously as he stared at Lin zhong

"You can't have it" Lin zhong told him straight and Robert was suprised

" Why , your student is stuck at bottleneck and l can't have any pills, are you for real" Robert said displeased

" Robert, your path of cultivation must be trended by you alone , if you want to achieve success it would be by your hard work , perseverance and undying determination, so you can't always rely on others to always help you out always" Lin zhong told Robert seriously and Robert immediately understood what he meant.

"Very well master , l have heard your words since that's it , l don't know my actual strength and l have little battle experience since l haven't fought against a cultivator , l want to access my current strength , so l will like to train" Robert told Lin zhong thoughtfully

" You are intelligent , trying to access your current strength to know how strong you are , because they are people stronger than you, accessing your strength will help you a lot in battles, l suggest we head to your training grounds now to train,that may help you alot" Lin zhong tells him with a smile

"Can battles still help me to breakthrough" Robert asked

" Yes it does, well off we go now" Lin zhong places his hand Robert's shoulder and they both disappear
