Descending , Momentum

Ignatus chuckled, "Ah, the lovely Vespera, always full of surprises. But you know, the world of politics is a tricky one. One day you're with one side, the next you've betrayed them. But I digress. I'm here to negotiate, and I have valuable information to share. Secrets, you might say."

Astra crosses her arms "Sure? Or it's because you are afraid to be executed and just trying to fool me?"

Ignatus looks at Astra with a sly grin. "Well, that's part of it, isn't it? I have information, Astra, information that you might find quite valuable. If I'm dead, that information goes with me. So, let's talk. I'm willing to offer you a deal."

Vespera yawned and spoke "Well, go on...l tell him--"

Ignatus then says, "Very well, Shadow Knight. Here's what I propose: I have detailed knowledge of several key figures within the remnants of the Order and their activities. I can provide you with valuable information that will help you track them down and deal with them. In exchange for this information, spare my life and perhaps even grant me a place in your organization. I can be a valuable asset in your quest for vengeance."

Astra seems to be considering the offer, but he's cautious. "And what's to stop you from betraying me once you're in my organization?"

Ignatus smirks. "You have my word, Shadow Knight. If I betray you, you have every right to end my life. I know you won't take that lightly."

Vespera looks at Astra, her expression curious, waiting for his decision.

Astra sighs "Vespera is he lying? Rather it's as if he is trying his best not to be afraid of me?" Whispers

Vespera raises an eyebrow and leans closer to Astra, whispering back, "I can sense his emotions and intentions, and from what I can tell, he's not lying about wanting to join your organization and provide information. He seems genuinely fearful of you, and he knows the consequences if he betrays you."

Astra nods and turns his attention back to Ignatus. "Very well, Ignatus. We have a deal. You will provide me with the information I seek, and you will be given a chance to prove your loyalty. But remember, one wrong move, and your life is forfeit."

Ignatus nods in agreement, a bead of sweat forming on his brow. "Understood, Shadow Knight. You won't regret this."

Astra unties Ignatus but keeps a close watch on him as they prepare to discuss the details of the information he possesses.

Astra crosses arms "Now, tell me this intel you're proposing to share"

Ignatus takes a deep breath and begins to share the information he claims to have. He provides details about the inner workings of the cult he used to lead, the locations of hidden bases, and the identities of key members who are still loyal to the organization. He also shares information about potential threats from rival factions and any knowledge he has about Estella's plans.

As Ignatus speaks, Astra listens carefully, his expression remaining serious and calculating. Vespera, too, keeps a close eye on the former cult leader, ensuring that he doesn't hold back any crucial details.

Once Ignatus has shared what he knows, Astra contemplates the value of this information and the potential risks. He then speaks, "This information is valuable, and if it checks out, it will help our cause significantly. We'll keep you under close watch, Ignatus. But remember, one wrong move, and your fate will be sealed."

Vespera adds, "And don't even think about trying to use your old tricks or manipulation. We're not as gullible as your former cult members."

Ignatus frowns and looks at Vespera "Madwoman , your the reason lots of cult branches thought of reviving the dead Anti-Goddess , Prime entertainer and other members….you are a cult leader too-"

Vespera's expression darkens, and her eyes narrow as Ignatus accuses her. Astra steps in, placing a hand on her shoulder to calm the situation.

"Enough, Ignatus," Astra says sternly. "We're not here to discuss the past or point fingers. We have your information, and that's what matters. But remember, you're here because I decided to spare you, not because you have any leverage. Your past actions won't be forgotten, but your future actions will determine your fate."

Vespera takes a deep breath, her anger subsiding as she reluctantly nods in agreement. Ignatus is given a final warning to cooperate, and they continue to assess the credibility of the information he's provided.

Then of course in a blink of an eye, he kills Ignatus out of anger yet also he whispers to Vespera "I may not detect lying yet the way he keeps mentioning why you are spared and I don't think I want a member that is loyal out of fear.."

Astra's actions are swift and decisive, ending Ignatus's life. He then turns to Vespera and expresses his concerns.

"I don't want a member who is loyal out of fear," Astra whispers to her. "We need loyalty based on trust and shared goals. Let's focus on moving forward, but keep an eye on him. I won't tolerate any betrayal."

Vespera nods in agreement, understanding the necessity of their actions to ensure the security and unity of their organization.

Then she smirks "Ohh , because I am a necromancer…..I can use his dead body as an undead to serve me? Is that alright?" Astra gaze at Vespera calmly of blue eyes "Sure , plus your associate assassins you had yourself are technically undead right?"

Astra considers her proposition for a moment before nodding. "Fine, use his body as an undead servant. But make sure it's discreet. We don't need unnecessary attention."

Vespera grins and nods, showing her understanding of the need for discretion.

Then she glanced at his body "Hmm, are you a bit stressed or tense? You sure you don't want to discuss the requirements to break the curse?"

Astra looks at Vespera with a hint of curiosity. "Well, we can talk about it, but not here. Let's go back to our base, and we can discuss the curse and its requirements in more detail."

Vespera smiles, and they begin making their way back to the base to continue their conversation in a more private setting.

Then Astra added "Also, once we left this interrogation room where I just killed Ignatus….turn him into an undead…well, I shall let you discuss it in my quarters.."

Vespera nods, understanding Astra's request. As they leave the interrogation room, she makes plans to raise Ignatus as undead and joins Astra in his quarters for a private discussion.

Then he informs the other members that he successfully gained intel while still killing the enemy as promised before finally once they are at his private quarters where he has special ins of chairs and tables set up he sighs "Now speak Vespera, I still can't get over the way you see Power and Ambition. You see Potential in me as you insisted when we first fought and met as enemies before you want to clash such motives with my Ideal of Revenge"

Vespera takes a seat across from Astra, her eyes focused on him. She replies, "Astra, you're right that we have different perspectives, but that's exactly why I see potential in you. Revenge can be a powerful motivator, but it can also consume a person. I believe you have the strength to channel that desire for justice and turn it into something greater. You have the charisma and the ability to lead, and with the right guidance, you can make a real change in this world. My ambition is not in direct conflict with yours; it's more about steering your incredible power towards a positive outcome."

She leans forward, her tone serious. "I know I've helped you in ways you didn't expect. I'd like to continue to support you in your journey. I want to be a part of what you're building, and together, we can create a new path, combining your desire for revenge with a greater purpose, and I believe that purpose can benefit both of us."

Astra chuckles a bit "How did we end up being rivals yesterday, then you TRYING to seductively manage to treat my lust and now…why are you suddenly sounding like you cherish me? Usually, succubi isn't so attached to the people they DO it with.."

Vespera smirks and leans back, crossing her legs as she gazes at Astra. "Ah, that's where you underestimate us succubi, Astra. We're not all just about seduction for the sake of it. We can form genuine connections with those we choose to be intimate with. You're different from the usual targets I encounter. Your strength, your resolve, and even your past all intrigue me. You've piqued my interest in more ways than one. So, consider it a compliment, my dear Shadow Knight. I don't cherish just anyone."

She then adds with a sly grin, "But that doesn't mean we can't continue to have some fun along the way, right?"

Astra sighs "If you ever THINK we're doing it again, we can't at least right now..dammit you're still fresh off my mind.." Vespera giggled as she spoke "Oh and when you slept last night before I followed I already informed Anastasia I treated your problem about that..at first she was upset and worried..even envious yet I insisted pretty sure she was a soulmate worth fighting for….I finally understand why you have gone soft-" Astra pulled her close as he uttered "Anyways, ahem….we can discuss the curse now"

Vespera smirks and nods, her tone shifting to a more serious one. "Of course, the curse. I can indeed help you with that, but it won't be easy. The curse Estella placed on you is deeply rooted. It will require a special ritual to break it. We'll need certain components and a specific location to perform it. And it will be risky."

Astra listens attentively, his mind focused on the task at hand. "Tell me what we need and what we have to do. I'm willing to take the risk."

Vespera leans in and whispers the details of the ritual to Astra, and together, they begin to plan their next steps to break the curse that has haunted him for so long.

Astra sighs "Then why did you utter such risk and price? If it's into me it's okay yet if it affects people around me don't.."

Vespera places a hand on Astra's shoulder, her tone soothing. "I understand your concern, but the curse is intertwined with your very being. Breaking it will have consequences, and we can only mitigate them to some extent. I mentioned the risk not to deter you but to ensure you understand the gravity of what we're about to attempt."

Astra nods, his determination unwavering. "I'm ready. We need to end this curse, no matter the cost."

Vespera smiles softly. "That's the spirit, Astra. We'll prepare and make sure the ritual goes as smoothly as possible. Once it's done, you'll be free from this curse and can continue your journey towards justice."

Astra then pauses "here I thought you seen my revenge as something that isn't justice..contradicting yourself like this.." Vespera uttered, "I had a feeling you don't want to remove the curse after knowing its risk and how it affects everyone else?"

Astra gazes at Vespera, his expression serious. "My desire for revenge might be complex, and it's true that I've struggled with the idea of letting go of this curse. But I've seen the impact it has on those around me, and I can't allow it to continue. I'll find another way to achieve my goals, one that doesn't put others in danger."

Vespera nods, her understanding evident. "I see your determination, Astra. We'll proceed with the ritual carefully. I'm here to support you every step of the way."

Astra smiles, a rare genuine one. "Thank you, Vespera. Let's put an end to this curse and move forward towards a brighter future."

With that, the two set out to break the curse that has haunted Astra for so long, beginning a new chapter in their complex journey together.
