Silas stared at the document in disbelief, his hands shaking as he took it. "Divorce agreement?" The words felt like a punch to his gut, the idea that his parents' long-standing marriage could be on the brink of dissolution was almost too much to bear.

"Ewan Sir might be reacting out of hurt and anger," Caleb suggested cautiously. "This might not be what he truly wants, just an emotional response to the betrayal."

Silas glared at him, his eyes flashing with anger and pain. "Do you really believe that?" He tossed the photographs back at Caleb, his face contorting in fury. "My father's heart gave out because my mother betrayed him. He discovered her infidelity and wanted to get her out of his life. What more evidence do you need?"
