At this moment, in his world, there existed only the materials and the forge. Zane and Odin, these two powerful beings, were completely disregarded by him.
Seeing him like this, if Zane were to disturb him now, he might just turn the blade towards him. Of course, Zane wouldn't do something that foolish.
The Dwarf King, as if on a pilgrimage, meticulously weighed each material and arranged them in order. Then, he commanded his kin to open the stellar furnace.
A scorching beam of light erupted directly from the fissure of a dying star, igniting a furnace.
After preheating for a few seconds, the Dwarf King systematically poured various materials into it in proportion.
His incredibly delicate posture contradicted his rugged appearance.
When all the materials melted into scorching iron, the Dwarf King solemnly added the Death Pearl to the furnace.
But at this moment, something unexpected happened. Ten whole minutes passed, yet the Death Pearl showed no sign of melting, floating aimlessly in the molten iron.
The Dwarf King, seeing this, broke out in a cold sweat. He ordered his people to adjust the furnace's temperature to the maximum, but still, the pearl showed no signs of melting.
Finally, Zane also noticed something was amiss. He silently approached the Dwarf King and gently tapped his arm, saying softly, "Let me try."
"Please, Lord Zane." the Dwarf King, sweating profusely, slightly bowed and stepped back to make way for Zane.
Zane smiled and directly channeled a large amount of death energy into the molten metal.
With the infusion of the dark gray death energy, the red-hot metal gradually turned into a thick gray color.
As the Death Pearl sank into the metal with Zane's power, the Dwarf King, though shocked by Zane's terrifying power, was also ecstatic to witness this scene.
Hastily, he ordered his people to bring out the already prepared mold and placed it beneath the furnace.
Zane keenly observed the World Tree branch embedded in the mold.
Next, the Dwarf King carefully moved the furnace, pouring the dark gray iron slowly into the mold.
Even with the furnace's high temperature, his hair and beard burned, but his hands remained steady as rock.
As if facing home, the molten metal flowed into the mold accurately, without spilling a drop.
As the last drop disappeared from the furnace, the mold was perfectly filled. The World Tree branch within the mold radiated a dazzling green light, completely merging with the iron.
Finally, the Dwarf King lifted the red-hot mold with a specially made pair of tongs and placed it into a cooling pool filled with deep blue liquid.
As a mist rose, Zane suddenly felt an inexplicable familiarity calling out to him.
Following his instincts, Zane reached out towards the cooling pool...
In that instant, as Zane reached out, the mold immersed in the special cooling liquid began to tremble violently.
The next moment, the mold burst open, and a scythe enveloped in a gray halo, exuding a thick ominous aura, burst out of the cooling pool.
Then, it flew straight into Zane's outstretched hand.
As Zane gripped the scythe, their powers began to flow into each other.
Almost simultaneously, a gray energy storm pierced through the steel walls of the Dwarf Kingdom, aiming straight into the vast void of the universe.
The energy storm lasted a full ten minutes before gradually subsiding, leaving the Dwarf King and Odin unsurprised.
Because, when the Spear Gungnir was forged, Odin experienced a similar situation. However, Odin's energy storm was golden lightning, and its scale wasn't as large as Zane's.
After the energy storm completely subsided, Zane opened his eyes and examined the divine weapon in his hand.
Compared to the virtual projection, the reality was even more awe-inspiring.
At the junction of the handle and the scythe blade, the eyes of the skull continuously emitted gray gas, seemingly indestructible and mysterious.
As Zane swung the razor-sharp scythe, it emitted a sharp whistle, as if tearing through space.
Feeling the connection with this blood-linked divine weapon, Zane was extremely satisfied.
"From now on, I'll call you the Reaper's Scythe!" Zane said softly.
And the Reaper's Scythe seemed to be very pleased with this name, shaking gleefully.
Afterward, the Dwarf King approached Zane with fervent eyes, eagerly saying, "Lord Zane, may I have a look?"
"Of course!" Zane readily handed the Reaper's Scythe to the Dwarf King.
But as the Dwarf King's hands received the Reaper's Scythe, the gray death energy on the scythe suddenly surged aggressively.
As if seeing an invader, it ferociously surged towards the Dwarf King's hands.
Anticipating that this malevolent death energy might harm the Dwarf King's hands if touched, the Dwarf King immediately let go.
The Reaper's Scythe, floating in the air, swayed triumphantly a few times before flying back into Zane's hands, continuously exchanging death energy with Zane's body, forming a perfect cycle.
Seeing the Reaper's Scythe's malevolent behavior, the Dwarf King's face showed not a hint of displeasure but rather excitement.
"A sentient artifact, a sentient artifact!" he exclaimed ecstatically.
Finally, Zane smiled apologetically at this somewhat crazed Dwarf King before leaving with Odin on the spacecraft back to Asgard.
Before leaving, as a gesture of apology for almost damaging the Dwarf King's hands with the Reaper's Scythe, Zane left a quantum communicator for the Dwarf clan.
And he promised that if they ever faced a life-threatening crisis in the future, they could call for his help, even if it meant traveling half the universe to aid them.
Of course, only Zane knew the reason for making this promise.
During the journey back, Zane tried to store the Reaper's Scythe in the [King's Treasury].
But the scythe strongly resisted, refusing to enter the treasury no matter what.
