If Jehovah had Zane's current foundation, Earth might have long become a massive pasture for Jehovah to harvest faith.
So, Zane had already reached the standard for becoming a God.
He just needed to wait for the Death Power to fully transform, and then he would certainly be able to become a God in one fell swoop.
Now, Zane was prepared to wait a little longer.
After all, under the skill [Death River], he and Lorna had infinite lifespans, so he could wait as long as needed.
It was hard to imagine what the scene would be like for a God with billions of followers before becoming a deity. After becoming a God, it might be even more spectacular.
He might even ascend to the top tier of five-dimensional beings, possibly even stepping into the realm of six dimensions.
While Zane and his team were quietly waiting, Ronan's spaceship also received the message from the Ark.
Immediately, they rushed to Zane's location.
In just 20 minutes, Ronan's Necrocraft appeared within the Ark's line of sight.
"Boss, someone is requesting to communicate. Should we connect?" Skynet looked at Zane and asked.
"Connect. Let's at least hear their last words before they die," Zane said with a smile.
As soon as Skynet got Zane's permission and connected the communication, Ronan's raspy voice came through.
"Hand over the Orb, and I will spare your lives!"
Zane shook his head in regret.
As a last word, Ronan's statement was quite unsatisfactory.
He wasn't angry; who would get angry with a dead man?
In the next moment, the Reaper's Scythe appeared in Zane's hand.
This artifact, which had never seen blood since its creation, was about to have its fill today!
Sensing the impending slaughter, the Reaper's Scythe began to emit a low hum.
Zane didn't have a habit of talking trash, and Ronan wasn't worthy of it either.
Against Ronan's warship, there was no need to use the Ark.
So, this time, Zane decided to handle it personally.
In an instant, Zane teleported into the void between the Ark and the Necrocraft.
Already half a step into the five-dimensional realm, he could easily operate in space.
Zane stopped himself from instinctively activating [God's Absence] by holding his breath.
Against this kind of weakling, Zane didn't need to be evasive.
Inside the Necrocraft, after receiving no response from the Ark, Ronan spoke again, this time with a tone of impatience.
"This is your last warning: hand over the Orb, or face annihilation!"
Embarrassingly, just as Ronan finished speaking, Skynet cut off the communication, leaving Ronan fuming.
Both Star-Lord and Gamora, held by soldiers behind Ronan, showed schadenfreude expressions.
No one noticed Zane raising the Reaper's Scythe in the void. After all, a human figure in space was too small.
Even if detected by radar, it would be mistaken for a meteorite fragment and ignored.
In the next moment, the Reaper's Scythe slashed down.
Simultaneously, as if mortally insulted, Ronan ordered an attack on the Ark.
As the Reaper's Scythe, infused with a massive amount of Death Power, slashed down, a huge gray blade tens of meters long appeared out of nowhere, charging towards the Necrocraft at a terrifying speed invisible to the naked eye.
Space is silent, but the power of the blade could be seen from the space fragments that sparkled like stardust along its path.
The Necrocraft's crew couldn't even react before the blade cleaved a massive gash in the ship.
Under the immense pressure, countless soldiers were sucked into the vacuum, their faces twisted in agony before turning into frozen corpses.
It wasn't until the massive breach, almost spanning the entire ship, was sealed that the Necrocraft stopped hemorrhaging personnel.
At this moment, the Necrocraft finally noticed Zane's figure in the void.
Amidst Ronan's furious roar, hundreds of ships flew out of the Necrocraft, targeting Zane in the void.
Zane sneered, tightening his grip on the Reaper's Scythe.
From the depths of his soul, the Death Power surged into the artifact like a torrent.
As the Reaper's Scythe absorbed the massive amount of Death Power, the skull eyes on it suddenly glowed brilliantly.
Several soldiers in the ships instinctively glanced at this scene, unable to look away.
In the next moment, their souls were forcibly pulled out by the Reaper's Scythe, crossing the void directly into the artifact.
Then, their souls were shredded into pieces by the circulating Death Power on the Reaper's Scythe, becoming its nourishment.
The pilotless ships veered off course.
Some collided with other ships, becoming two bright explosions in the void.
Others drifted aimlessly into the boundless space.
"Don't look at his weapon, just open fire!" Ronan shouted on the Necrocraft's public channel.
But it seemed to be too late.
As the Death Power input into the Reaper's Scythe reached its limit, a look of anticipation appeared on Zane's face.
In the next moment, the skull on the Reaper's Scythe seemed to come alive, opening its mouth to unleash a silent roar.
A massive skull phantom, tens of meters tall, emerged behind Zane.
This skull, exuding a suffocating aura of death, moved forward under the fearful gaze of all.
Ronan finally realized that Zane was far beyond his capability to handle.
But by the time he reacted, it was too late.
Facing the imminent crisis, Ronan gritted his teeth and ordered:
"Fire at will!"
Hundreds of small ships outside the Necrocraft fired countless red energy beams straight at the giant skull.
Facing the overwhelming energy beams, the skull phantom formed by the Reaper's Scythe didn't dodge but met them head-on.
In the next moment, the energy beams passed through the towering skull as if passing through an illusion.
The giant skull then grinned, and although sound couldn't travel in the vacuum, everyone heard a soul-chilling, terrifying laugh in their minds, conveying mockery, disdain, and a craving.
The advancing skull finally reached the nearest small ship.
