No Effect?

Although the system's mighty power remained unmoved, it was slightly affected by the temporal turbulence generated by the Time Stone's energy. The stone, which was being drawn toward Zane, would sometimes pull away and then suddenly press against his chest, as if it were teleporting.

In that instant, countless Time Stones appeared, forming a green crystalline column that stretched from Zane's chest to where the Time Stone initially hovered in midair.

In Zane's perception, each Time Stone was tangible, not just an illusion. This wasn't teleportation; it was the Time Stones from numerous temporal nodes overlapping. The ones further from Zane were from the past, while the one pressed against his chest was from the future.

As time passed, under Zane's curious gaze, the crystalline column formed by the overlapping Time Stones began to shorten. Eventually, only one Time Stone remained, nestled against Zane's chest. Then, the system's power gave a powerful shove, forcing the still-struggling Time Stone into Zane's chest, directly into his heart.

In the next moment, the Time Stone automatically settled into the fourth slot of the [Magic Furnace]. As soon as the Time Stone fully fused with Zane, a surge of green energy seemed to materialize out of nowhere, flooding his entire body.

The energy didn't flow gradually; instead, it instantaneously filled every cell and permeated every strand of his soul. Even the death god core deep within his soul became covered with this green energy.

Strangely, Zane didn't feel anything out of the ordinary. There was no pain or pleasure. In his perception, not a single cell was damaged by the rush of green energy. It was as if the energy didn't exist at all.

However, the sight picked up by the surveillance system monitoring the study was incredibly bizarre. Every tiny movement Zane made produced countless afterimages, as if he were made up of many overlapping versions of himself.

Additionally, his appearance was constantly shifting. Though he didn't age—likely due to the S-level skill [Death River]—he would sometimes appear as a young boy and then revert to his current appearance.

If Zane could see the surveillance footage at that moment, he would have noticed that the changes in his appearance fluctuated between his current look and that of his 16-year-old self when he first arrived in the Marvel universe. There was no trace of his appearance from any time before that, as if those earlier moments in time never existed.

Despite all this, Zane, sitting in the chair, was completely unaware of what was happening. In his perception, he remained unchanged.

Just as the frightened AI was about to notify Lorna and the others, the strange phenomenon began to rapidly diminish. The myriad of shadowy figures quickly merged back into the real Zane. Once the green light that had filled the study completely receded back into Zane's body, he appeared as his usual self again.

Zane, still not feeling any different, was left bewildered.

"Is that it???" Zane muttered in confusion.

After merging with the Time Stone, Zane sat in the chair, bewildered. He extended his perception throughout his body, trying to find any significant changes. But strangely, neither his physical form nor his soul showed any improvement.

Even the rules of his abilities, symbolized by lines arranged in a pyramid shape deep within his soul, remained unchanged. It was as if the Time Stone was just a puff of air, yet it was clearly embedded in the [MagicFurnace].

Zane had witnessed the entire process of the Time Stone entering his body. He knew that the Ancient One wouldn't be foolish enough to deceive him with a fake.

Finally, unwilling to accept this, Zane addressed the system:

"System, open the character attribute panel."

[Name: Zane Abyss

Age: 26

Race: Deity (God of Death)

Active Skills: S-Level [King's Treasury], A-Level [God's Absence], A-Level [Son of Light], A-Level [Flash], B-Level [Rat Talisman], B-Level [Thousand Faces], C-Level [Eyebrow Dance]

Passive Skills: SS-Level [Mystic Eyes of Death Perception], SS-Level [Magic Furnace], S-Level [Death River] (Remaining resurrection count: 69.3 billion), S-Level [Realm of Dead], A-Level [Eternal Arms Mastery], C-Level [Culinary Master]

Lottery Attempts: None]

Just as Zane perceived, all of his skills remained unchanged. The only difference was the resurrection count in [River of Death], which had skyrocketed to nearly 70 billion after Zane personally annihilated the Chitauri civilization.

Ignoring the unchanged skills on the attribute panel, Zane focused directly on the [Magic Furnace] skill option, the only place where he could see any difference.

[SS-Level Passive Skill: [Magic Furnace]

- Embedded Stones: Space Stone, Power Stone, Mind Stone, Time Stone

- Remaining Slots: 5

Additional Attributes:

1. Infinite Energy: Can replace all skill consumption; the energy of the four Infinity Stones will continuously strengthen the host.

2. Greatly enhances all space-related skills.

3. Greatly enhances all offensive skills.

4. Total control over all of the host's powers.

5. Clear Mind: The host's mind will always remain clear, unaffected by external forces.

6. Mind Control: The host can freely manipulate the minds of beings weaker than themselves. For beings of equal strength, only mental influence is possible, with the degree of influence decreasing with smaller power differences.

7. Uniqueness: Across countless parallel universes and time nodes, all versions of the host have merged into one. The host's past and future time points have completely vanish.

8. Immunity to Time: The host is unaffected by the power of time. ]

Seeing the seventh attribute added to the panel, Zane's eyes widened involuntarily.

Holy crap, this effect is insane.

Although the Time Stone didn't grant Zane a godlike ability to control time, nor did it, like the previous three Infinity Stones, channel energy to strengthen his body and soul, this single effect was enough to fill Zane with uncontrollable joy.

The eighth attribute was just the icing on the cake. What Zane truly valued was the seventh attribute, [Uniqueness].

Could Zane still be at risk of death now? Unfortunately, the answer was yes! And the likelihood was significant!

Even though the S-Level skill [Death river] now provided nearly 70 billion resurrections—enough to tire out even an ancient being far more powerful than Zane—Zane still had one fatal flaw: the incredibly vulnerable period when he first reincarnated into the Marvel universe.
