Chapter 67 - Good Harvest

Night came and the situation of Undead Forest Shelter finally stabilized after the shelter core on the main house was fortunately not destroyed. With that, the Shelter Protective Shield activated once again which took almost all the Evolution Coins of Omar as there was a penalty when the shield was destroyed. On the other hand, the residents of the shelter have also moved on after they buried their dead companions and Zach witnessed their grievances.

During his stay, Zach has come to the reason why they didn't retreat back to Earth even though their lives were already at risk. It was because the place where Omar had put the Sanctuary Portal Totem on Earth had long been attacked from which a number of beasts were guarding it, so it left them no choice but to stay here in the shelter living quite peacefully until now.

Including Omar and Kamir, there are now only a total of 24 of them in the shelter and Zach could tell that they have been to many fights as their level was all high with Omar being the strongest with Level 21 while the rest were all reaching 20. It was a strong force but it wasn't enough to defend against a horde of Undead with a bronze-class Undead Mage as its leader.

Right now, Zach can be found together with all of the residents surrounding a fire inside the shelter. They were talking to each other especially about him as they kept on asking where he came from and what he was doing in the area since it was also their first time seeing another person besides them.

"I have a proposal to make. I can see that you're all doing good on your own so I won't ask you to move out and follow me back to my shelter but if it's your choice then I will gladly accept you." Zach then suddenly said as he thought that they had talked enough.

"The repairing of the Shelter Protective Shield must have cost you a lot and all of you must be having difficulties with Evolution Coins so I'm here to tell you that I can buy all the spare items you all had at a fair price. What do you think? Also, if you have any item you want to trade then you can negotiate with me." Zach followed while looking at them with a smile.

Hearing Zach, everyone's eyes widened in surprise since if what he was saying was true then they all had some spare items to sell. However, they all waited as they looked at Omar, the leader who had kept them safe all this time.

"Are you sure, brother Zach?" Omar asked to make sure that he was not joking with them since they really had taken quite a damage today and that they needed Evolution Coins to recover.

"Of course. Back to my shelter, we are currently gathering a list of items we can acquire so if you decide not to sell the items that you had you can also just let me see what they are and I will compensate you for it given that it was not an item that I already knew. Also, if you have information about anything that I don't know then I will also compensate you with Evolution Coins." Zach answered.

Hearing Zach, Omar no longer waited as he could tell that Zach wasn't joking so he immediately took out the items in his inventory that he no longer used and presented them all to Zach which were composed of ordinary items. After that, he also took out something that he was wearing hoping that it was an item that Zach hadn't seen before.

Seeing their leader shamelessly moving first, all the other survivors also started taking out the items they wanted to sell and the items they wanted Zach to see also hoping that he still didn't know them before.

With that, Zach then started doing a business inside the shelter from which he could be found smiling widely upon seeing the items that they had. Also, as he felt that they were good people, he kind of increased the price he paid to them so they could recover more quickly and also as a token of his appreciation for being invited inside.

After some time, Zach finally concluded his buy-and-trade business after seeing everyone's items. The survivors were also satisfied by the prices that Zach paid so it was a win-win situation, however, they were just curious as to how rich Zach really was as they couldn't see him feeling a bit bad taking out precious Evolution Coins like they were nothing.

"I can trade two bronze-class items of your choosing each on these two rings of yours. What do you think? Is that enough?" Zach said while looking at Omar seriously since it was the most valuable item he had seen among the items they all had. Knowing its effect, he couldn't let the chance go away and must have them both in his hands.

"Bronze-class items? What was that?" Omar was kind of curious as it was the first time he heard such a thing.

"It's a name that I used for the items higher than the ordinary class items." Zach answered.

"Ohh. A-And you will trade it two for each? What kind of bronze-class items? C-Can I take a look first?" Omar was very surprised upon hearing Zach wanted to trade his two rings for two bronze items that he called to each as it was just too generous. He then just looked at Zach's appearance because as he was also a person who had an appraisal skill, he knew all he was wearing were top-notch bronze-class items which he thought that it was no wonder he was strong.

"You must have appraisal skills like me, right? The items I was wearing were all bronze-class and I had a spare with each of them though it might not be of the same quality." Zach said with a smile as he could see that he had caught Omar's attention. In fact, he could just put the ring back in his inventory and immediately duplicate a copy, but he didn't like doing it as it would make him feel bad and a thief in a sense.

"Are you sure I can trade them with two bronze-class items each?" Omar asked again just to make sure as he already decided to trade them in his mind. He knew the effect of the two rings he had but they didn't help him much in fights. The bronze-class items Zach had were more practical than the rings so if he's not joking then he wanted to trade them.

"I am. You can take your pick." Zach replied and was now sure that he could get the rings that Omar had.

"T-Then. I'll have the Battle Sword, Battle Armor, Warrior's Trousers, and Rapid Boots." Omar already made his decision as he took out the two rings on his fingers excitedly and gave them to Zach.

On the other hand, Zach also took out the items Omar had chosen and gave them to him. With that, he then immediately put the two rings on his finger as he decided to enhance them when he left the shelter later.

With that, Zach then finally bid his farewell to everybody which surprised Omar and the others as they all thought that he might spend the night in the shelter. They could only respect his decision as no matter how they convinced Zach, he was already set on leaving.

After traveling quite a distance away from the shelter, Zach then suddenly stopped and took out the two bronze-class items he got from Omar which were the two rings of Omar as almost all that he bought were ordinary. Without wasting more time, he immediately used Evolution Stone on all of them.

After that, Zach then opened his status window to see its effect and there he saw both his Vitality and Endurance had an additional increase of 50. He can't help but feel excited since it only makes him stronger and he kind of expecting whether there are other items like them that will be dropped from the monsters.

"That's more like it." Zach said before looking at their appearances. Both rings were of ordinary design while having the same bronze-like colors. However, there could be found small gems attached to it seeing a red gem attached to the Ring of Vitality and a green gem attached to the Ring of Endurance.

"Well, I have ten fingers so. Hehe." Zach laughed evilly thinking how much it would increase his stats while wearing them on. After that, he then also settled the ordinary items he had before finally leaving the place as he still needed to find a place to stay for the night.

In fact, Zach could just stay in Undead Forest Shelter, but he wouldn't risk resting in a place sheltered by people that he only met today no matter if they were good people unless he had come to know them before or they were already familiar with each other.

"Right, I still have the dropped items I got from killing the Undead Mage. I wonder what kind of item they were." When Zach was about to head out, he suddenly remembered something important so he immediately opened up his inventory again and took out something.

Seeing their description, Zach was completely dumbstruck by the first item as he already put the last two back into his inventory. His attention was completely on the Fire Bomb that he got and his heart started beating fast from the excitement. Looking at its appearance, it has a perfect circle-shaped glass with something like a liquid that looks like a fire inside of it.

"T-This completely unexpected. Would I be invincible at this rate?" Even though Zach didn't know its description, the word bomb alone was enough to mean that it must be a weapon and a powerful one at that knowing that it is also a bronze-class item. He knew for a fact that this item was a one-time use but with the ability of his system, he could have an unlimited number of them and exploit them to his heart's content.

Also since it doesn't say 'None' to its rating then it can evolve which makes Zach feel great excitement to know how powerful would it get if it were enhanced to the fullest. With that, he immediately used Evolution Stones on it as he could not stop his curiosity.

"This is going to be an easy sail from now on." Zach said. However, he knew that this item was going to be his trump and would only use it in appropriate situations since he couldn't let it destroy the environment.

With that, Zach then just immediately put the Fire Bomb into the Survival Inventory. He looked at his surroundings first before finally leaving the place with a satisfied expression on his face thinking that he really got a good harvest coming to this place.
