Fauna at Pergos City

After that day it was hell for Ben. He was expected to work much more than the ordinary students. He had much more work to do in terms of assignments and martial practice. That was in addition to the exercises he was doing on his own from the book. He was using the 3 chapters of Saptarishi Samhita. He performed the exercises of ' Agastya Parvam', while meditating the image of 'Jamadagni Bhavana', breathing in the patterns of 'Vasishta Vachanam'. It was difficult in the beginning, but from the 3rd day, he was able to do it. He worked for about 2 hours in this state after which he went to complete his work. He was also making developments in the front of aura manipulation as well. He was able to maintain a constant flux of aura around his body. He could also put aura in a particular part of the body. But he was not able to manipulate it when he fully covered it around his body. The various fine control tricks were also difficult for him. This was also not the end. Mahaansh was also sparring with hum by using aura. Ben was like a child who was using one of his limbs for the first time. But his progress was going at a steady pace, albeit a bit slow.

On the fifth day Mahaansh had a review of his training. " Ben your progress is average, but steady. I know that you are not a genius. But your effort is impeccable. Some others awakened their blood lines, becoming extraordinary animals. An example is the Aqua Wyvern. This is a new species that appeared in the Pergos city. It was actually a normal Wyvern, which had an affinity towards fire. But after this event, it awakened its ancestral blood line: The Leviathan. They have now become a menace in the area. The reason for this the exposure of these Wyverns to the various water property substances and energy waves. The exact process can only be explained by scientists. Any way, I hope that among these myriad races, you can find some animal with which you have an affinity. Some beast masters are flocking the Pergos city in search of opportunities. I am sure this will be a novel experience for you." Ben replied: " Thank you for taking the effort teacher. I truly appreciate it." Mahaansh had a light expression. He said : "In my youth someone helped me develop my skills and abilities and elevated me from a pathetic state. Today I am doing this for you. Tomorrow, you must help another rise form the dust. This land needs more people to work for it. For its values, its culture, its land and most importantly its people both dead and alive." Ben could understand what he said to a certain extent. Soon they reached the Pergos city. Mahaansh's friend was waiting for them. He was also almost the same height as Mahaansh. He had a white hair that was flowing and clean shaven face. He was muscular as well. He wore a shirt with no buttons at all showing of his scar ridden torso. Behind him was creature with pronounced features. It was from the same family as the leo that Ben had faced for a test. But this one was different. It was not an animus. But the power it was radiating was no different from an animus. It had stripes all over its body and its body was almost 6 meters long. It had blue stripes on a black body. Its eyes were red and blue in colour. It was emanating heat that could be seen with naked eye. No one was getting any where near the duo. Mahaansh and this guy seemed to be old friends. " You rascal, you got old. Your hair is white." Mahaansh said. " Oh please. As if you are in your sweet 20's. If I am old, you are a relic 'Senior'" his friend replied. Mahaansh was at a loss of words for a second. Then he regained his wits and said " Is that how you address a senior. Show some respect". His friend said " Is that all you could come up with. Pathetic." Then he turned to Ben and said: " It is sad that this guy is your martial teacher. Take only from his training. Don't take up from his so called 'life lessons'. You will die alone." Mahaansh gritted his teeth as he knew the embarrassing thing the other guy was referring to. " You rascal you were the one who did it. Then you put the blame on me. Now you dare to bring that in front of my student. Do you want to die? If you want, we will go to the martial arena now. You take that little cutie of yours as well." Ben did not know what to do. Everyone was looking at them. He was at loss . The normally calm Mahaansh was all worked up. The other guy was really amused by all of these. He just smiled and looked at them. The he said: "Oh come on, don't be so stiff. This is just the bickering between two long lost comrades. This guy gets worked up for no reason." Mahaansh was staring daggers at him.
