A loud sigh echoed in the pitch black darkness and silence of the room. Shinji lay comfortably on his bed in his room operating on his M.S. screen. He had initially been trying to play some video games but a single person kept on distorting his newly found peace. He kept on receiving texts from a certain somebody, to be exact, from Linne

PAST BED TIME SIR!!!                                       11:00 PM, 5 JAN 2066, 78%

                                Weird Girl

                                                                          Heyy.

                                                                    How are you?

                                                                      ??????????

Shinji, don't you want to talk to me?

Did I wrong you in any way??

No.

Then why don't you want to talk to me??

Because I'm exhausted and I want to sleep. Good night.

                                                                         WAIT!!!

What?

I hope this isn't too personal, but I have a favor to ask.

Out with it.

Well, if you don't mind, can you please tell me your mother's name??

Not telling.

Please I pinky promise I won't tell anyone.

No means no.

                                                                       Why not?

Because I don't want to.

Come on please, I'm literally begging you.

At least give me a hint, it's Lisa right??

Shinji seemed rather surprised at her request as he muttered, "What made her ask that anyway?" as he typed the words "it's not Lisa."

"I have a feeling that tomorrow is going to be a really long day." he sighed as the past bed time alarm rang.

The class was barely empty as a few students walked in storytelling as others yawned their morning away as they lazily dragged themselves until their attention was suddenly drawn by someone, a girl in particular, she sat on her desk, alone, and had her head buried in a book as she occasionally made notes on a small notepad just next to her.

"When did she get in?" they wondered as they spoke among themselves, "Dunno, she was already here when I came so I assume she must've come to class earlier." another replied. "She must be really serious in her studies to have come to class that early." said another. The elephant in the room was the girl that Akagi had met the night before.

Suddenly Ikari walked into class clad in clean school uniform walking in a cool way so as to look like an interesting person. "It's the suicider." said a student and immediately the class burst into laughter as they tried to suppress the joy they had whenever they saw Ikari. Ikari, on the other hand, had come prepared. He had stayed up the previous night reading, "The Art and Skills on how to approach a girl and get her to like you."

"This class is so noisy." Akagi said as he entered the classroom through the backdoor and had been standing there for a while. "Which seat was it again?" he asked himself as he studied the classroom. "Who's that?" a student asked as soon as he took note of Akagi standing. "Don't know, he was here yesterday but didn't stick around much." his friend replied. Akagi finally proceeded down the steps to a desk, looked at his soon to be desk mate and just wanted to walk away but nonetheless he had a seat.

The girl heard someone sit next to her and finally raised her visage from her book to see who it was but in the end could only be disappointed by her curiosity as she saw the boy from last night. "Troublesome." she muttered then went back to minding her own business.

"Good morning, Takagi Ritsu." Ikari suddenly said earning her attention as she instantly looked up at him in surprise. "How do you know my name?" she asked immediately. Just then the whole class immediately went silent so as to get the most of the upcoming conversation."How could I not know the name of such a beautiful flower such as yourself?" Ikari asked. "She better be falling for me right now." he thought to himself as he towered over her, "Emadou Rokuro's book was rated the best guide to romance, it won't fail me."

"Troublesome." Akagi thought to himself as he went on swiping on his on-desk screen searching for something to read. Ritsu turned to look at Akagi, Ikari then the class and her blood boiled until she finally burst out, "LEAVE ME ALONE!!" then she arose with all her things and stormed out of the classroom leaving a deafening silence inside the room as everyone wondered the cause of her reaction while Ikari just stood there transfixed to the ground wondering why he had just sacrificed an entire night's worth of sleep for something that simply led to his downfall.

"Why can't this girl just shut up already?!" Shinji wondered. Beside him sat Linne who kept trying to strike a conversation with him despite the fact that both were in class on their desk with the teacher teaching something on Biology on the podium at the front/ lowest part of the class. Shinji, on the other hand, was actually interested in what the teacher was teaching as he tried countless times to maintain his concentration only to be disrupted by notification from Linne on his on-desk screen.

"Of all characters which do you think is best?" the message said followed by a list of characters. "That's obvious." Shinji replied immediately then pointed to a random character, hoping that she'd get satisfied and allow him concentrate, but even before she could do or say anything, the P.A. system implanted on the front wall came on and a voice announced, "THIS IS THE SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION, TAKAGI RITSU, IF YOU CAN HEAR THIS MESSAGE, PLEASE PROCEED TO CLASS IMMEDIATELY." It then repeated the message before leaving the class in murmurs and a tinge of confusion as everyone wondered who the student was but the teacher did best to restore order by continuing with the lesson.

"Hmm…" Lin sighed, "do you happen to know the student?" she asked Shinji who could only shake his head in denial. "How would I know? I'm just as confused as you are in this matter." Shinji said and immediately forgot everything as he tried to concentrate once more but it was short lived as barely seconds later Linne moved over to his side of the desk and said, "But that character isn't even among the top rank, how do you expect…"

"THIS GIRL WON'T LEAVE ME ALONE!" Shinji yelled at the top of his voice but he just couldn't say it out loud.

Just a few minutes earlier

"So she hasn't been to class since then?" the teacher asked as she stood on the podium with everyone's attention, the class register and a pen in hand. She had walked into class and after checking the attendance through the register on the tablet she had, she realized that one person from the list was missing. She tried inquiring about the whereabouts on the student who happened to be Ritsu but all she got was that Ristu suddenly stormed out of the classroom after the scene with Ikari and hadn't returned since then and that no one knew her current location. She then contacted the school administration and tried talking with them.

Currently

The lesson had progressed on normally despite Ritsu's absence, but deep down the teacher was still worried because she had not shown up after the big announcement. Time seemed to come to a standstill as she taught something on Biology using images from the screen before as she falt almost carried away by her own voice as her thoughts flew far and wide until she suddenly stopped and lowered her screen and the big display went dark.

"I'm sorry for the abrupt interruption but I'd like to make a request." she said then earned nods of acceptance from the students before she continued, "I would wish for us as a class to go outside and search for the missing student but only if you feel up to it."

"Why would I waste my time searching for an uncultured girl without any sense?" Hendric asked from his seat

"It's just a request, I honestly feel that we cannot have a proper class without full attendance, so just for a maximum of ten minutes…." she was suddenly interrupted by Akagi who suddenly rose and said, "I know where she is, I can go and get her if that would be okay with you."

"It's okay Akagi, so can I entrust this situation into your hands?"

"Yes." Akagi said and immediately proceeded out of the classroom. "I didn't think he would be so humble to even help." the teacher muttered to herself as she watched him walk out of the door before she continued with the lesson.

Akagi wasted no time as he immediately started walking down the hallway past the doors as the voices of teachers teaching echoed throughout the neatly cleaned hallway until he reached some point and removed something from his pocket then continued on his way.

He seemed to have been walking for quite sometime as he walked past lots and lots of ongoing classes until he suddenly took a sharp turn and he immediately felt as though he had bumped into something, a girl generally short to say the least, he seemed to tower over her as both their gazes met for a few seconds as both of them said completely nothing to one another. Akagi immediately started walking away instantly tearing his mind from her leaving her eyes trailing him as she thought of something.

The door suddenly opened and Akagi walked out and immediately came to a halt just as a cool fresh breeze caressed him. "You're causing a lot of trouble for the teacher." he said. Akagi looked like the type of person who did completely nothing for a living. He was indeed handsome person the expression on his face was of that of a person who had lost hope in life, was lazy and didn't care about anything.

"Are you really feeling that much sympathy from the teacher that you'd come to look for me?" Ritsu asked. She stood leaning against the edge her gaze completely lost in the amazing scenery of the landscape in the far distance laid out before her as the warm and bright sun rays caressed and engulfed everything in sight in an amazing view. An amazing cool breeze gently blew about gently rustling her hair as it brought about a refreshing feel to her nostrils.

Akagi simply walked over to the edge and took out something, a can, from his right pocket and swirled it and a liquid inside could be heard swirling around.

"I see you're smarter than you look." Ritsu said her gaze still entranced by the amazing scenery before her. Akagi had probably not taken breakfast and felt hungry in class then when the opportunity of going out of class came up, he seized it and bought himself a drink before coming to get the "troublesome" girl.

"But how did you know where I was?"

"Book." Akagi replied as he too was entranced by the amazing scenery while he sipped from his drink and Ritsu immediately knew what he meant. Early in the morning, Ritsu had been reading a book about astronomy, Akagi caught sight of this and when the time came, he guessed that she would be at the school rooftops doing whatever it is she was doing.

Ritsu turned to face Akagi as her view of him gradually changed, at first she saw him as nothing but a fool but now it was slowly changing. Ritsu was actually a big fun of science and was particularly interested in astronomy. She loved it so much she spent most of her time reading about it.

"Tell me Koremitsu Akagi, do stars interest you as well?" she asked.Immediately, Akagi's eyes opened up as his mind drifted off, way past the school buildings, out of the school premises, far past the horizon itself as only one word towered in his mind, "Moon." He then looked at Ritsu and said, "Don't pry yourself into my life." then into the bin the can went with pinpoint accuracy and he immediately proceeded to walk away leaving her wondering what she had done for she had simply asked a question, it wasn't personal, was it?
