I promptly left school, but now I had obtained the ability to hide myself.

This was one of the most basic spells that were taught to inspectors for the Watchers, so I was able to use it. Though I did have to absorb some mana from my parents and my grandparents.

It turned out that my powers were absorption based, so I could only make the powers that I absorbed into my powers.

As such, I had to absorb mana from my parents and my grandfather before I could use it for myself.

It seemed that this was the reason why they thought that I didn't have any mana when I was born.

It seemed that this was the uniqueness of my special physique.

That was why they had thought that I was a normal person for all those years and kept me away from supernatural things. If I had been allowed to make contact with magical items sooner and absorb the energy from them, perhaps I would have been able to follow the family business.
