Vision Training Part 1/2 (Shimmer)
I look at the Vision in my hand, still not being able to believe it, "I have no idea how to use it..." I say outloud, "In fact I was thinking on getting a Delusion to learn..." I added quickly.
"That is something I did not consider..." Focalors commented, putting her fingers on her chin in thought, "Furina, do you think you can teach her?" She asked her counterpart.
Safe to say I was surprised at that, "Furina? But I thought you split your powers equally." I said remembering what I heard earlier.
Focalors shrugged at that, "Yes, but there's still only one Gnosis, so when we switch one of us has a vision." She explained, clearing my doubts for the most part.
"I see... And who's the Hydro Archon at the present time?" I ask, wondering if Furina had free time.
"Me!" Furina exclaimed in response, making both her and Focalors realize the problem, "...Focalrs will teach you!" She exclaimed, motioning to her counterpart.
This display made me unsure, so I turned to Navia for comfort, but... I'll be supervising." She stated, not easing my nerves at all.
Half an hour later, Focalors's POV.
It took less than an hour for Shimmer to learn how to use her Vision, and I was pretty much left speechless at how adept she became, "This reminds me of Gloom using her Vision..." I said outloud.
"With Seraphim guiding me it's not that hard to learn honestly." Shimmer responded, making me realize that the voice I was hearing during the training was Shimmer's version of Gloom's Asmodeus.
Navia was just as surprised, "I did figure you're from another world like Gloom, but it almost seems like you're her opposite..." She commented helping me notice that too.
As I was pondering that, I noticed that Shimmer froze for a moment before pulling out a wand and placing the Vision on the sphere at the tip, "What did this Seraphim tell her...?" I wondered, watching what she did next.
Shimmer proceeded to wave the wand around creating a Hydro snake, "What the fuck!?" I subconsciously exclaimed in surprise.
"This thing can do stuff!" Shimmer exclaimed with a smile before using the wand to create a wave she rode around for a bit, "WEEeeee!!" She let out before making the wave turn into a geyser that shot her upward.
Navia and I looked up at Shimmer going up, where she was completey exposed to the sun, which made it look- No she was glowing, "You see that too right?" Navia asked me, to which I could only nod.
Navia's POV.
The moment Shimmer got back down, I could tell it wasn't just the reflection, she was really glowing, "Hey what is-" I was asking, but Shimmer stopped glowing a moment after.
Not paying attention to us, Shimmer removed the vision from the wand and clipped it to the collar of her top, "I can't wait to see what else this can do!!" She exclaimed before putting the wand away somewhere.
"That's something Gloom doesn't have..." Focalors noted, looking confused as to where the wand went.
"Long story." Shimmer simply said, "I'm still trying to undestand everything it can do." She explained, pulling out the wand again.
Having noted how the wand seemed to work, an idea came to my head, "Try putting this in the sphere." I instructed, handing Shimmer a rock.
Shimmer's POV.
I took the rock from Navia and put it in the sphere as she instructed, "I'm not sure what this should achieve..." I tell her before realizing something, "Are you suggesting that it doesn't apply to just Visions?" I question, moving the want to try and trigger something.
"The Neophyte Wand is made with the intention of helping Gods in training become full fledged Gods, it's up to the user to find how to use it best." Seraphim suddenly spoke, spooking me and the others.
Focalors only looked at me with a wide open mouth, "You're a... God in training?" She questioned in shock.
The only thing I could do is look at her in equal surprise, what Seraphim said means that Shiva Samba really considered me as a God candidate...
"Shiva Samba told me that she gave Gloom this wand too..." I said outloud, "This means that she's also a God candidate..." I reasoned as I realized that particular.
When I said that, Navia and Focalors were about done with all this information and paled as if they were ghosts, "Gloom is..." Focalors managed to say before putting a hand to her forehead.
"I always knew that Gloom was a pecular person, but this?" Navia said in astonishment, "...Although I guess that she's just as pecular as you are..." She told me, seemingly pondering something.
As the two were lost in thought, I felt Seraphim push information about the wand into my mind, "It can do all that...?" I whispered to myself as I pointed the wand with the rock in it on the ground in front of me.
Focusing on a shape, I moved the wand, causing a stone staircase to appear in front of me, complete with the designs I thought of, then I focused on removing it and lowered the wand, making the staircase fade into the ground.
Focalors's POV.
The sight of Shimmer doing that snapped me out of my thoughts and filled me with awe, "Shimmer..." I started as I got closer to her and put my hands on her shoulder, "I hope you become and Archon! Replace me I don't care, I hope you do!" I stated with all the seriousness in the world.
"What did I walk into?" I heard Furina ask from behind me, "You know what? Not important, what's important is that Chevreuse said this design is the best one she has ever seen." She informed.
Hearing that made me smirk, better to focus on that simple thing, "Well Shimmer, we'll give you parts." I told the God in training, prompting her to cheer outloud.
