Stacy was among the first group of students to come back to the hostel.
I could hear her shouting my name but I kept quiet. I wondered why she had to yell my name like that when she could quietly walk up to my corner to check on me.
"It seems like someone is calling you," Jessica said to me as Stacy's voice became louder.
"I know. I don't want to answer her."
"So you are here and you refused to answer," Stacy said with visible anger on her face.
I smiled at her and didn't respond which made her more pissed off and she hissed.
"Were you worried about me?"
"As if, I was just worried you will sell me out." Stacy sneered.
"Hi, sorry I didn't notice you. This goat was annoying me." Stacy turned to Jessica and waved at her.
"I am Jessica Joseph. What's your name?"
"Stacy Anderson."
"What class were you assigned to and your house?"
"Aren't you asking her too many questions?" I chirped in.
"She's not asking too many questions. She just wants to get to know me." Jessica defended Stacy.
"I am in class 1c and I am in Amethyst House," Jessica replied.
"I'm in the same class as Elsie and I am in Ruby House," Stacy added.
"I wish we are all in the same house," Jessica whined.
"We all can't be in the same house. It is better this way." Stacy commented.
"Let's go for games. We have spent a lot of time here." I suggested to them.
"Go ahead. I don't want to go for games today." Stacy insisted.
"Please come with us. You know today is my first time and I need company." Jessica held Stacy's hand as she pleaded with her.
After much persuasion, Stacy finally agreed to go with us. We all changed into our sportswear and left the hostel.
"You are now happy that you have a bunkmate, you might even start ignoring me," Stacy commented as she pulled me back.
"I am happy but there is no way I'll ignore you. We can be three."
"Lest I forget, did you lock my locker before leaving the class?"
"Yes, I did. But your key is inside my locker." Stacy replied.
"Thank you so much. I know I could..."
"It wasn't for free ooh. You will give me your meat during dinner."
"Aah, no! No! I can't ooh. Pls, naaaa....." I held her hand and pouted my lips.
"Then I'll seize ur key," Stacy said with a smirk on her face.
"Elsie! Stacy! Hurry up. What are you guys doing over there?" Jessica called out to us.
We ran and met up with Jessica. It was the first time I played a lot during games time since I resumed.
I was on the lookout for Stacy during dinner because I knew she could sneak up on me and take my meat. I had to hide my meat under my plate. By the time she came around to my table, I had already finished eating but I promised to give her the meat next time.

The next day was very busy for us all including the prefects. We swept and cleaned the hall where we will be having the movie night while the boys helped to arrange the seats.
"Stacy, you have been going on and on about this movie night. There's nothing special about watching a movie." I said as I climbed the ladder up to my bed.
"I know you will say that but when you have been in this school for a while, you will start to cherish it." Stacy countered as she stood up from Jessica's bed.
We had just returned from cleaning the hall after the day's orientation and we were all discussing when I began to feel sleepy and excused myself so that I could take a nap.
"I have heard you. Can I go to sleep now?" I asked Stacy.
"Yes, you can sleepyhead."
"Elsie! Please remember that you promised to escort me to the dean's office so that I can call my mother." Jessica reminded me.
"Right, I almost forgot about it. We will go tomorrow."
"Will you come with us?" I asked as I turned to Stacy.
"Yes, I will."
"Ok!, time for me to nap. Just In case I oversleep please wake me up." I said to Jessica as I covered myself with my blanket.
"Don't worry, I'll wake you up," Jessica assured me.
"I won't wake you up." Stacy retorted.
"I didn't ask you." I sneered.
Stacy and Jessica began to laugh at that instant.

"Where is everyone rushing to?" I asked as I entered the hostel. We were just coming back from games.
"I think they are rushing to go and get seats in the hall for the movie night," Stacy replied.
"Ooh! That means we have to be fast, lest we end up seating at the back." Jessica added
"There will be no need for that...."
"Why?" I asked cutting Stacy short.
"Oooh! Now I know." I replied as Stacy gave me a weird look for not remembering what it was.
"What is it?" Jessica asked Stacy and I as she seemed lost.
"Her cousin is the male senior prefect, so we are sure of getting seats in front," I replied.
Stacy was feeling proud of herself as she had a huge grin on her face.
"Waw! So that handsome senior is your cousin." Jessica said with her hands covering her mouth.
"Of course, can't you see the resemblance?" Stacy turned around so that Jessica can take a good look at her.
"Yes of course." Jessica agreed with her.
"But, you are not allowed to crush on him." Stacy chirped in waving a finger at her.
