Communicate to awaken

On this beautiful day, Cassandra finds herself once again at their school, but this time she is in the office of their Department (Crisis Intervention Specialist) with her fellow members, and of course, Xin is there too.

"So that's it, as I mentioned to all of you yesterday, each Department member will be assigned to partner with their respective assigned member," their teacher said at the front.

"I fell asleep, so I didn't know what was happening, oh! Maybe i am the lazy one... Eh (shrugs)," Cassandra thought to herself as she focused her gaze ahead. She also glanced to her left, once again, to look at Xin, who was listening and taking notes. She quickly returned her attention and gaze to the teacher to continue listening.

"For those who have been given partnerships, you will be assigned to go to a youth school to teach basic Psychology lessons. You will also be assigned to be counselors for the elderly individuals at that school. You will be the help that this school will provide to those in need."

"Oh, so it seems like a big project. This will be our first time being sent to a school to be teachers and counselors for both children and the elderly. And I'll even be partnered with Xin for this activity. Alright, my day is turning around, moving away from being boring," Cassandra thought to herself.

"This is an important task that we will undertake and give meaning to. I hope we treat it properly and not just take it lightly. We will be providing assistance to a school for children. We are expected to act professionally. I repeat, let us take this task seriously and approach it as if we are saving a life. I will announce the respective schools you will serve soon. Good luck to all of you, and the meeting is dismissed." The teacher's final statement to his students.

After the meeting held at their department office, Cassandra is now walking back to their classroom.

"Man. My body feels weak because I've been alive for quite some time now. Maybe when I die, all of this will disappear. The idea of non-existence is fascinating, yet scary. The consciousness of a being can be considered absolute because it adapts. It expands, desires, and accepts. The consciousness of something is also a main aspect of existence, if we base 'life' on consciousnes in any scale within creation. As a being that is conscious of existence itself, I can't help but feel the weight when I think about losing it. Everything will vanish, but... Will anyone even notice my absence? Will they remember the existence of someone like me? If I disappear, will I disappear to them too...? Hm, sounds kinda scary to me." Cassandra expressed all her thoughts while looking at the sky

and after a brief inner dialogue, she arrived at the classroom. To her surprise, upon reaching the door, she saw Xin arranging the chairs, alone in the room. Xin glanced at Cassandra by the door, and they exchanged another gaze. A quiet atmosphere enveloped them. Unexpectedly, Xin broke the eye contact first and resumed arranging the chairs. Meanwhile, Cassandra continued into their classroom to, help Xin with the chairs and cleaning up.

As Cassandra began arranging the chairs, Xin noticed her but didn't react. They both continued arranging and cleaning until...

Xin suddenly asked, "No offense, but why are you here?" while still focused on arranging the chairs. Hearing this, Cassandra side-eyed Xin and replied, "Can't I just be here?"

Xin: "As far as I know, I'm the only one assigned to clean this room. Do you remember the rule here that whoever is assigned to a task, especially if one person can handle it, shouldn't be given help?"

Cassandra: "well that's a strict rule." (She continued arranging the chairs)

Xin: "Right, so why are you still doing what you're doing?" (They are having a conversation without making eye contact)

Cassandra: "Would anyone know that I helped you?"

Xin: "I could report it."

Cassandra: "Would that do you any good?" After Cassandra's remark, Xin looked at her

Xin: "You're persistent." Cassandra also looked at Xin and smiled Slightly.

Cassandra: "That's just how I am."

After Cassandra's final response, Xin observed their classroom surroundings only to realize that they had finished cleaning. He hadn't noticed it earlier due to their conversation. Seeing that the classroom was now tidy, he closed his eyes briefly, let out a sigh, and then opened them again. He retrieved a rolled-up paper from his backpack and unfurled it in front of Cassandra to reveal the information written on it.

Upon reading the message on the paper shared by Xin with Cassandra, she took a deep breath and exhaled, then closed her eyes briefly before opening them again. She followed this by offering a handshake to Xin, who was looking at her hand. Xin raised his eyebrows slightly, then quickly shifted his gaze to Cassandra's eyes, and then extended his hand to accept the handshake offer.

Cassandra: "I'm interested in the ideology you hold."

Xin: "How so?"

Cassandra: "Because you're boring."

Xin: "Is that really your answer?"

Cassandra: "Yep, that's it." (smiles after her response)

Upon hearing the response, Xin just closed his eyes briefly and sighed again.

Xin: "You know, for someone like you, you're quite messy."

Cassandra: "(shrugs) I'll take that as a compliment."

After their conversation, this marked the beginning of their acquaintance, and the gradual understanding and respect for each other. Transitioning to the next scene...

After a bus ride, Xin and Cassandra were dropped off at their destination. The school assigned to them. Harmony High School. While Xin looked at the paper to clarify their tasks, Cassandra observed their surroundings. She admired the beautiful gardens surrounding the school, and the clean river behind it, adorned with various types of flowers. The sky was bright, illuminating the blue all around. Cassandra finished her observation before Xin spoke.

Xin: "So, you seem to like the idea of beauty in an environment. Well, weirdly expected from someone like you."

Cassandra: "(raises an eyebrow) That could potentially be taken as an insult, well, for some people."

Xin: "Hm... (analyzing the information further), okay, got it. So, the first thing we'll do when we enter the school is to register at the principal's office to become counselors. After that, we'll head to classroom 2 section 1. In section 1, the students are 8th graders, the oldest students in this school. They will be the first class we'll visit and teach basic Psychology. Then, next, we'll meet with two other students who are also partners, and we'll switch sections. After that, we'll move to section 4, the last section in this school, before meeting with the counselors for the elderly."

Xin: "Did you understand everything?"

Cassandra: "Well, kind of."

Xin: "Really? Well, that's okay. Just follow what I do, if that's alright with you."

Cassandra: "Alright, seems like that's the only way here."

Xin: "Because you weren't listening--" Xin didn't finish his sentence as Cassandra interrupted him by placing her index finger near Xin's lips. She then walked towards the school entrance. Upon seeing this, Xin just closed his eyes briefly, and without a word, followed her to complete their significant task, so they can atleast have a value as beings.
