Was it just a night to you?

Silas raced up the stairs the moment the dreadful thought came to him. He wondered what business Tabitha had with the rooftop of a 25-floor hotel.

Perhaps Silas's concern for his mate was starting to make him overthink, but with the current gloomy mood he felt from her that seemed to only deepen as the seconds passed, he was scared of what might be going on in Tabitha's mind.

The thought that still dominated his mind, in the end, was that she wanted to jump off the hotel. When one thought of Tabitha's situation, it was a possible outcome, but Silas would not let his mate do a such thing if it were to be the case. He couldn't allow the woman he loved to die.

Silas couldn't even imagine the image of her lifeless body. He'd go crazy if anything happened to his mate. She was his, and she had no right to harm herself.
