Her eyes remained fixed on Silas. Tabitha's emerald gaze met his grey eyes as he stared into hers.

Silas smiled, gently pinching Tabitha's cheek. In his eyes, she appeared incredibly cute.

“You look like a high school student who received her first-ever kiss,” Silas remarked, placing his hand on her waist while holding one of Tabitha's hands.

Tabitha grimaced. “Why would you compare me to a high school…” Her words were cut off as Silas suddenly lifted her from his bed, holding her by the waist and hand. They stood facing each other, and Silas held Tabitha protectively.

Silas kissed Tabitha's palm and grinned at her. “I didn't compare you to a high school student; you just look too cute,” he explained, gently releasing Tabitha's hand to straighten her hair, which had gotten disheveled on the bed.

Tabitha allowed Silas to fix her hair, looking away when he finished. Seizing the opportunity, Silas kissed her cheek, savoring the softness of her skin.

Tabitha gasped.
