Chapter 5

"My, oh my, in what corner of the world do we find ourselves?" Savannah's voice escaped her lips in a low murmur as her eyes darted across the surroundings.

She was sure she was going to die that night, but thankfully, help arrived in the form of a mysterious stranger. Little did she anticipate that the very person she had once kicked and punched would be the one to come to her rescue.

Gratitude welled up within her, despite the harrowing brush with death that ensued when the relentless waves crashed upon them. With a heart brimming with gratitude, the woman awakens from her slumber, her soul infused with a renewed sense of hope.

In this miraculous turn of events, both their lives are spared from the clutches of impending doom. As the tempestuous storm subsided, they continued their way atop a makeshift vessel—a humble plastic drum.

She mustered every ounce of energy she had to lay her body next to this man. With unwavering resolve, she clung to the man's lifeless form, her grip unyielding despite his unconscious state.

Once more, her consciousness slips away, leaving her in a state of unconsciousness. Both she and the man were on a mysterious island.

The man hasn't woken up yet, which is a major concern for her. "What the hell is going on?" Her words slipped from her lips, barely audible, as if carried away by a gentle breeze.

With great compassion and a steady hand, she tended to the man's injuries, for he bore wounds on his side, face, hands, and feet.

Fortune smiled upon them, for in the very moment they were carried away by the relentless current, fate had arranged for a first aid kit to be within their grasp.

With this small but invaluable resource, they managed to eke out a meager existence amidst their newfound isolation, while their would-be saviors tirelessly scoured the surroundings in search of their whereabouts.

The survival skills she learned from her brothers allowed her to start a fire. With heartfelt gratitude, she expressed her thanks to them for imparting this invaluable knowledge.

Otherwise, she'll be just like every other woman and whine and complain about everything.

She finds herself confined, unable to venture far, for the man stays in a state of slumber, oblivious to the world around him. In the vicinity of their present location, Savannah chanced upon a selection of succulent fruits.

She finds herself unable to survey the island upon which they currently reside. In this moment, the man bears an uncanny resemblance to a damsel in distress.

She, too, attended to the wound on her forehead. In addition, she has strategically positioned a signal, poised to catch the attention of any passing ship or aircraft traversing the vast expanse of the sky.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm golden glow across the tranquil waters, she found herself lost in her thoughts.

"My brothers," she murmured softly, her voice tinged with a mixture of admiration and disbelief, "were undoubtedly engaged in a fierce altercation with the proprietor of that infamous Cruise Ship."

From the very instant she opened her eyes, a profound awareness washed over her—it was undeniably well past noon. The sun, positioned high above the horizon, cast its radiant rays upon her, illuminating the truth of the hour.

As she stood there, mesmerized by the rhythmic dance of the waves, she couldn't help but feel a sense of being swept away, carried along by the ebb and flow of the ocean's embrace.

She was convinced that they had traversed a considerable distance thanks to the relentless power of the wind and the tumultuous waves.

The fish she caught provided enough food for the night. Hopefully, the man will wake up soon. She possessed the capability to confront the situation unaided; however, the man had sustained injuries that impeded his mobility, and her own movements were hindered as well.

Consequently, the man found himself unable to safeguard himself while she ventured forth to procure sustenance and hydration.

Her garments were already dry when she slipped them off, still clothed only in underwear. Savannah proceeded to delicately remove the gentleman's garments, leaving only his boxer shorts behind.

With utmost care, she then proceeded to attend to the task of drying them, ensuring their restoration to a state of pristine cleanliness.

In addition, she diligently attended to the task of drying the blankets and various garments that had been carried away by weather conditions, ensuring that they would be readily available for their use.

"Damn, I pray we'll be rescued soon." Her words slipped out in a hushed murmur. As the sun set, a few stars appeared in the sky.

To her relief, she constructed a tiny shelter out of banana and coconut leaves, into which she climbed a while ago.

Fatigued, she wearily settled herself upon one of those blankets she had acquired from the shore. Those remaining were wrapped around the man as the temperature outside dropped.

Grilled over a fire she built herself, the girl feasted on the fish she had caught. Savannah savored each morsel of her meal, inhaling deeply between bites.

In her heart, she yearned for liberation from the clutches of her father, and against all odds, she managed to break free from his oppressive grasp.

Alas, fate had a cruel twist in store for her, as an unforeseen tragedy unfolded before her very eyes. The idyllic respite of a two-month vacation was not merely marred but rather transformed into a heart-wrenching tragedy.

"Mom, please lead us." Savannah, prayed.

She knew she should stay awake and maintain her watch, but exhaustion won out. While the stars were appearing in the sky, she slept sweetly.

After sometime, the patient she was caring for was opening his eyes. It was quite late. He did a complete about-face and looked all around until his gaze settled on the woman sitting close to the flickering fire.

Phantom's eyes widened as he recalled the incident, and he muttered an expletive to himself.

They rode the wave all the way here. He and the woman were stranded on the island. He took in the sights around her.

He had assumed the woman was simply weeping herself to sleep. Few women can handle this kind of tragedy without breaking down in tears.

The woman did all that and started a fire, too. Have some fish and fruit. She even created the dish herself, making Phantom seem like a child.

He was a bother to the lady for a while. As a matter of fact, she helped him. He had no idea how he ended up here with a complete stranger. His trip ended up being a complete bust.

"F*ck! Oh, the inconsiderate jerks!" When he thought back on it, he swore.

The guy just sat there. He had no idea how they got here or how the woman carried him to his current position. The woman even threw a blanket over him. It dawned on him that the blankets had to have come from that damn cruise ship. Even though he insulted her, this woman still took care of him. The harm he caused her ultimately benefited him. They were each other's life guarantors.

After straightening the bed, he went over to the woman. He picked her up to put her on the makeup bed, but she suddenly jumped up and tried to kick and strike him.

"Woah! I'm not going to do anything! I'm going to lay you down properly so you can sleep well." The woman gave him a blank look before nodding. She added half-jokingly, "It's good that you woke up; I thought you would sleep here forever."

Phantom's gaze fixed upon her; his eyes locked onto her form. Because most women are, he finds it hard to accept that this one is not.

"You can have some fruit and grilled fish if you get hungry." In fact, she even stated to Phantom, "Get your strength back because it looks like there is no rescue to find us yet." She seemed to have adapted swiftly to life on this island.

"Where are we?" Phantom inquired because she seemed to know quite a bit. Before replying to Phantom, she looked at the fire and added some wood.

"I don't know," she replied truthfully. They let out a joint sigh of relief. For a while, nobody said anything. They are both unfamiliar with the island and at a loss for what to do now that they are stranded here.

"I'm Claude Hyperion Phantom. Aged thirty. It's a pity that our meeting occurs under such trying circumstances. However, I appreciate your concern for me." Phantom's introduction came out of nowhere.

He couldn't stop marveling at the woman's beauty and brains. Despite her apparent youth, she proved to be rather wise for her age. Savannah made a face but showed no emotion. After throwing some wood on the fire, she gave the man her attention.

"I am Savannah Bea Ann Castillo-Takahashi, twenty." In crafting a brief rejoinder to the gentleman, one must carefully consider the tone and content of the message.

There was still tension between them. She disliked being in the company of the person who had humiliated her. Both parties resumed their silence. Phantom found the woman attractive. She held her temper and didn't yell at him.

He feels bad since he owes his life to the woman. He sighed and then began to eat. He really enjoyed the food. Moreover, he had extreme hunger. The food Savannah prepared for them was the only option he had.

He quickly consumed it while the woman curled up in front of the fire. "You could sleep; I'll take care of it first," he said to the woman.

Savannah gazed at him again. It made Phantom uncomfortable, especially because she was staring at him with those almond-shaped eyes. These eyes appeared to take him in completely.

While he was looking at her face, he covered his mouth and took a covert swallow. Her lips are crimson red, her nose is sharp, she has gorgeous hair, and her skin is flawless. The girl thought everything was just so breathtakingly gorgeous. Phantom was dumbfounded by her stunning good looks. She was so lovely.

Even when his heart rate became abnormal, he showed signs of discomfort. He didn't mind it. 'You heart! F*ck you! You shouldn't go out of your way for a woman you've just met. To save our sanity, we are not in nearly as good of shape as we'd like to be!' He chastised himself while holding back.

They moved to a new position. It was Savannah who was found dozing off on both the bed and the makeup hut.

Phantom's attractiveness did not bother her, despite the fact that she had previously described him as such. In fact, Phantom was the personification of Adonis. He has a beautiful face and exudes masculinity, much like the sculptures that were shown in Greek mythology.

Despite the fact that he is quite handsome, she does not give in easily to attractive men. Because his older brothers are equally attractive, she is exposed to attractive men on a daily basis.

The young lady struggled to fall asleep while biting her lower lip. She was worn out beyond belief. Savannah has high expectations that they will be rescued soon. She attempted to conceal herself by hiding under the blankets, but her eyes continued to look around.

Her ears remained attuned to the man's movements, and she remained vigilant. They are both too weak to speak, but they can feel for each other, and that is what ultimately caused the girl to go to sleep.
