Chapter 22: The Truth

Achilles' Point of View:

"Anna," I said as I grabbed her attention. She looked at me with a cold gaze, her eyes fixed with boldness and her posture serious. I hadn't seen her in a while, but the last time I did—she wasn't like this.

"Achilles," Her voice had also changed a bit. It seemed to be more mature, but not in sound—more like in tone. She was more confident. "It's been a while."

"I suppose," I replied. "Why are you here?"

"Remember when you told me I had nothing of myself?" She took a dominant step toward me. "Well I wanna challenge you."

"Challenge me for what?" I was genuinely interested.

"A fight. I want to beat you in combat."

I couldn't help but let out a chuckle. "A fight?"

"Yes."

"Are you nuts? Maybe you did build something for yourself but you can't defeat me physically."

She laughed. "Wow. Must be rich to be this fucking arrogant."
