Chapter 50 Cassandra’s Little Thoughts

Cassandra Vorre didn't understand what kind of person she was.

Perhaps she was the worst person in the world, at least in her own eyes.

From an early age, she relished in inciting others to fight because of her, finding it exhilarating when conflicts arose due to her provocations.

Before arriving at Hogwarts, her reputation had already spread, fueled by a few instances where her meddling had caused trouble.

Despite being known for her mischievous nature, her family's influence shielded her from any serious consequences.

With an ancient family name, striking beauty, and considerable power, Kassandra considered herself superior to everyone else.

However, as time passed, she found the world increasingly uninteresting, leading her to embrace a newfound love for sleep.

Kassandra took pleasure in the simple act of dozing off, letting time slip away.

This habit persisted even during the journey to Hogwarts. Her peaceful slumber was interrupted by a boy's voice on the train, asking,

"Otherwise... Shall I go down first?"

Annoyed by the disturbance, Kassandra contemplated having a fit, but pretending to sleep allowed her to eavesdrop on an intriguing conversation.

She overheard discussions about Malfoy's revenge, a boy refusing to cast a curse, and the ridiculous notion of killing her.

The absurdity of it all amused her, and she forgave the boy for the disturbance. However, her amusement turned to surprise when the same boy shouted,

"Sister, get down."

Startled, she left the carriage and witnessed a red-haired boy on Betsy, covered in blood.

Was this another curse or a Muggle weapon? Kassandra couldn't tell, but she found the situation oddly humorous.

The boy didn't die, and as he emerged from the school infirmary with Betsy, Kassandra couldn't help but laugh softly.

Her beautiful fingers traced her lips as she anticipated the upcoming Hogwarts journey. The next time she saw the boy, he appeared as foolish as expected, radiating a sense of justice.

He seemed to be the brother of the famous Harry Potter, adding an extra layer of interest.

During the trip to Hogwarts, Kassandra deliberately pushed the boy into a separate boat, intending to scare him.

To her surprise, the boy didn't doubt her intentions, and his response amused her. Disgusted, she observed him behaving like a clueless bumpkin, nearly falling into the Black Lake while trying to catch a glimpse of Hogwarts.

Kassandra cast a stabilizing spell on the boat, recognizing the boy's stupidity. Yet, as a villain, she couldn't resist following him.

The boy displayed foolish kindness and integrity, praising everyone he encountered. Kassandra snorted at his naivety and contemplated arguing with him.

However, when he looked back at her with tolerance, she felt a mix of surprise and frustration.

As the events unfolded, Kassandra watched the boy with amusement. When a freshman mentioned the likelihood of being assigned to Gryffindor, Kassandra sensed a flicker of fear and waited for the boy to reveal a weakness.

To her delight, he confessed being frightened by the prospect of fighting trolls during Sorting Hat ceremonies.

The amusement continued when a red-haired kid accused the boy and Betsy of being evil and vicious.

Instead of being upset by the accusation against him, the boy took offense when the redhead labeled Betsy as evil. Kassandra found this twist utterly entertaining and decided to intervene.

Threatening to inform Professor McGonagall and have both the boy and the accuser expelled, Kassandra marveled at the boy's response.

He chose to endure the taunts, refusing to engage in a fight. This unexpected reaction surprised and frustrated Kassandra, leaving her with a lingering memory of the foolish red-haired boy.
