Notes:

Hi everyone, this is my first time writing romantic content like this. I mainly work with my own original novels if you were wondering.

This one is a slow burn, and to set up the cyberpunk/sci-fi fusion world of the Monroe x Akabane universe!

I wrote it with the intent for you to get to know the Monroe family better, and want to root for Aiger to shake things up with the family.

And no, this is not a "progressive" story or a raceplay story, yes it does have the step-sisters all calling Aiger their "Boytoy" but trust me that is just for the shits n giggles of pissing off the far right and far left, it's a story meant to showcase how a single splash of color can shake up everything and what good can come from it.

Prologue - New Neighbors

2077 - May 19th, United States of North America.

In the small suburban neighborhood of Gladbridge within Angel Falls, Florida, lives one of the most beautiful and diverse families in the neighborhood, the Monroe's.

The family was led by the blonde bombshell Rebecca Monroe and her husband, Samuel Young have lived here since they got married 20 years ago.

A year prior to meeting her new husband, Rebecca had buried her late husband, she would meet Samuel when her adopted daughters, Ellie was a year old, and her second daughter Rosa was 3 months old. A year later she would give birth to her third and only biological daughter Jules after Rosa turned 1 and Ellie turned 2.

(Note: Jules is not the biological daughter of Samuel, she was conceived by Rebecca and her previous husband a month before he would pass away. Rebecca did not know that she was pregnant until she got into a relationship with Samuel, which is half a year later in 2057, making Jules a year younger than Rosa and two years younger than Ellie.)

Rebecca and her youngest daughter are as blonde as sunflowers are yellow, her second oldest is a proud ginger girl, her eldest daughter has natural raven black hair, Ellie has emerald green eyes, Rosa has light blue eyes, Rebecca and her youngest daughter have a pair of dazzling deep blue eyes.

As the years have gone on, they all inherited their mother's incredible body. Rebecca has been fiercely loyal to her second husband, being the perfect housewife for him.

She raised her girls right, as right as she could manage at least in a politically split household. A family of three daughters is bound to have bickering and arguing.

Accusations of stealing boys, claims of parents playing favorites, the list goes on. But at the end of the day, they are family, and they love each other no matter what.

One morning, in the heat of June, they noticed a moving van outside the house across the street. Curious as to who the new neighbors were, they couldn't help but watch.

Samuel, now 45 with hints of gray in his black wool hair and beard, sips his coffee while looking out the window. Rebecca, who's still so youthful she could be mistaken for her daughter's sister at 41, remains in the kitchen cooking breakfast.

"Rebecca: Any sign of who's moving in yet?"

She shouts to Samuel.

"Samuel: No....no not yet. Looks like it's just the movers at the moment. I bet they hit traffic, the morning rush in LA can be killer."

He took another sip as he continued his surveillance like a hawk.

"Rebecca: Well let's be sure to greet them once they settle in. Oooo, I could bake them a pie! Do we still have some peaches?"

Her heels clicked against the tiles as she checked the fridge while the bacon sizzled.

"???: Yeah we do! And I'm up mom!"

Rosa cheered as she came to the window to give her step father a good morning kiss on the cheek.

The 20 year old was enjoying her summer break before heading off for college. She glanced out the window to see the scene.

Rosa was the second oldest of three sisters, she is a young woman of mixed heritage, having a Indian mother and a white father, she was the most bubbly girl in the house.

"Rosa: Oh is someone finally moving in? It's been months since that old fart O'Brien passed. What do they look like?"

She asked as she looked out the window.

Her eyes caught the light as they glowed a brilliant turquoise blue.

"Samuel: No idea yet, just the movers, and manners Rosa, Mr. O'Brien was a kind old man."

Her father replied as he sipped more of his coffee.

"Rosa: Boring and no the hell he wasn't, that old fart was a pervert, but I hope they're interesting. I can't stand another wet paint neighbor like the Smiths. You'd think a family of British people would be fun to hang out with but noooooooooo!"

She rolled her eyes before skipping to the kitchen.

"Rosa: Morning mama! Mmm smells delicious!"

Rebecca who had given up on finding any peaches and begins to plate the bacon alongside sunny side up eggs and two waffles for each family member.

"Rebecca: Thank ya, sweetie. Mwah."

They gave each other a peck on the mouth.

"Rebecca: Where are your sisters?"

Rebecca said as she sat the plate down onto the table.

Rosa smiled as she ate some before responding.

"Rosa: Jules is sleeping in per usual- She stayed up all night gaming again since she's graduated, and Ellie is-"

Right as Rosa went to speak, her older sister Ellie spoke.

"Ellie: Right here."

Ellie poked her sister in the back. 21 years old and back from college for the summer and holidays, she is easily the most mature of the trio of adopted sisters.

"Rosa: I was gonna say rubbing one out, but sure."

Rosa gave her a cheeky smile.

Ellie didn't dignify that with a response as she kissed her mom good morning and grabbed a plate, she sat down at the table with a women's rights shirt on and her skull necklace as she had another new hairstyle, Ellie is a good looking young woman of mixed heritage, being originally from a half Native American, Irish and Hispanic family.

She wore sharp-heeled boots that gave way to long shapely legs, silky-smooth and light brown-colored. A fashionable skirt clung around the thickest thighs of all the Monroe women, wide enough that they could easily crush a man's skull in between them.

Her blouse, soft and shimmering, gave way to a canyon of cleavage, a light brown sea of boob that threatened to spill out at any second, barely contained by the fabric. Just above that, raven-black curls perfectly framed a set of sharp piercing eyes, shining like emeralds beneath dusky eyelids. Beneath all that, soft lips forming a sly smile.

"Ellie: thanks mom."

Ellie said softly to her mother, before laying eyes on her adopted father and turning her nose up at him.

"Rebecca: You're welcome dear. Samuel, honey, breakfast! You can stalk the new neighbors later."

She began to pour a glass of O.J. for everyone. Except for Jules, who still prefers her apple juice.

"Ellie: New neighbors? In O'Brien's place?"

Ellie asked.

"Rosa: Yep, just movers right now though."

Rosa replied as she ate her meal.

Samuel joined the family, taking his seat and plate.

"Samuel: Mornin' El."

He said as he noticed her shirt but just ignored it as he sat down at the table.

"Ellie: Morning old man, still doing your neighborhood watch thing?"

Ellie said with a smug grin on her face.

"Samuel: One I'm not an old man and two I'm just curious is all."

Rosa piped up with a mouth full of bacon.

"Rosa: You said the same thing when I started dating Ashton. Driving past his house every day for two weeks trying to catch him up to something."

Ellie and her chuckled.

"Samuel: Well sorry I was just trying to protect my little girl."

He said in a defensive tone as he took another sip of his coffee.

"Samuel: Speaking of which- JULES!"

He shouted out loud to get her attention.

"Rebecca: Oh let her sleep in, hon. It's summer and she has already graduated, she can take her time."

Rebecca calmed her hubby down.

The creaking of the stairs can be heard as the final daughter arrives in the kitchen. Her long flowing hair is a mess, still groggy. The 19 year old rubbed her eyes as she yawned.

Jules was wearing a red short-sleeved button up top with a large belted collar over a white button-up crop top. She also wears elbow-length fingerless gloves that are belted at the end and spiked, gold cuffs. On her lower body is a red pleated skirt with a large belt sporting a skull on the buckle. Underneath the skirt are strapped, asymmetrical, black shorts with red accents and golden buckles. She wears white boots with red toes and black sole.

"Jules: How come I can't get up one morning without being woken up?"

Jules yawned as she walked past her sisters to grab her apple juice from the fridge.

Jules had a slim figure, slimmer than her sisters and mother, she had a petite build with a rather curvy look to herself, having light brown skin, curly blonde hair and blue eyes.

"Ellie: In this house? Under "his" roof? Sorry, no sleeping past 8 am. Heavens forbid you miss the garbage men making the rounds."

Ellie jokes, which got a good round of chuckles out of everyone minus Samuel.

"Ellie: By the way, someone is moving into Mr. O'Brien's old place."

She said as Jules perked right up upon hearing the news.

"Jules: Really? They have kids?"

Jules took a sip of her apple juice as she joined the family at the table.

"Rebecca: Nobody knows, they've not arrived themselves yet."

Their mother informed them.

"Jules: Wanna place some bets? I say they have 4 kids."

Jules looked around the table for any takers.

"Ellie: Hmm, my money is on 2, the eldest is probably gonna be around my age so probably 20 or 21 and like a newborn."

Ellie says.

Rosa finishes her plate first and mulls it over.

"Rosa: 6! I think they get biiiizzzzaaaa~ I bet he took her to pound town!!"

She said making a lewd gesture with her hands.

"Samuel: Rosa!"

Her step-father scolded.

"Samuel: Have some manners, these fine folk will be our neighbors. Let's try not to paint them in such an unflattering light before we get to actually meet them."

He said in a harsh tone.

"Rosa: Fine, fine, I'm still holding to 6 though, with a house as big as ours they gotta be getting down and dirty."

She said again as she finished her food.

"Rebecca: I think they won't have any, none that are born yet at least."

Rebecca smiles, almost excited at the idea of having a new soon-to-be mother in the neighborhood.

"Ellie: They could be a newly married couple Or they could be a lesbian couple actually."

Ellie posits to the family as Rosa and Jules both nod their heads in agreement. But on the other hand, Rebecca kinda had to think about it as she was indifferent about it. Either was fine with her.

"Ellie: I mean they could have adopted kids, but that would certainly put a damper on the baby belly-"

Before Ellie could finish, her step-father responded.

"Samuel: Ellie, enough."

He interrupts with a frown on his face.

"Samuel: Like I said with Rosa, let's not paint them in an unflattering light."

His tone was much more stern, putting on that 'man of the house' vibe to keep his step-daughters in line.

Ellie simply frowns and gives him a disapproving look.

"Ellie: Oh yes, because god forbid a gay couple comes to the neighborhood."

Ellie said in a mocking tone as she leaned against her chair.

"Rosa: Oookay, breakfast was lovely as always mama, I'm gonna take a shower now."

Rosa recognizes the tension immediately and gets out of her seat, grabbing Jules by the arms as they go to put the dishes away. Wanting to not be a part of whatever argument might begin.

Her mother nods and smiles, while Jules looks at Rosa annoyed, she wants to see her step-father lose another argument against Ellie.

This wasn't the first time the two had been at odds. She once dated a Jewish boy in high school and Samuel wasn't too keen on that when he found out.

Scared the crap out of the poor kid so badly that he broke up with her and never wanted anything to do with her again. She never forgave him for ruining that relationship.

Ellie has drifted closer and closer to more modern ideals like her mother and sisters had done, while her step-father held tight to more conservative views. Especially in recent years.

The last big argument was last year when he said a certain word she wasn't too keen on hearing some 45 year old mixed blue eyed white guy say. It was a big scene, lots of shouting and crying(mostly on Samuel's part).

Her sisters supported her as much as they could and stood up for her whenever he bad-mouthed her, and her mother worked to calm him down.

After a week of drama, the conclusion was a half-hearted apology by Samuel which boiled down to a half apology.

"Samuel: I'm sorry you feel that way."

Ellie had gotten over it by this point, but she hadn't forgotten it though. Now they stared daggers at each other from across the table.

Ellie with her arms crossed, waiting for his rebuttal, knowing it will be some contrived bullshit.

"Ellie: let me guess you are going to say some shit like "don't you take that tone with me young lady," or "this is my house, my rules!" It's always the same shit with you. And too be honest, this isn't your house either, it belongs to my mother, you just moved in and started acting like some big shot shithead."

Samuel stood up straight in his chair as if posing to put her in her place. Rebecca put a hand on her husband's trying to prevent things from boiling over.

Jules watched from the sidelines as she was excited about seeing Samuel lose again.

All this tension gets cut off when Rosa pipes up from the other room.

"Rosa: Dammit- Dad you don't gotta worry about them being gay, buuuuut…"

Her voice drifted off.

"Samuel: But what?"

He asked, his tone transferring the building anger towards Ellie to her. He stood up and marched his way to the window. Rebecca and Jules followed close behind, while Ellie took her time getting up.

They all joined Rosa at the window to catch a glimpse of the new neighbors.

A nice red minivan was parked in the driveway now.

A young black man spoke with one of the movers, he was a slightly taller young man with long black and blue dreadlocks, his father soon got out of the car with his airpods in, opening the trunk of the car while a woman held a 2 year old girl's hand, leading her into the house.

Everyone was silent, not wanting to set off the bomb that was the 5'5" man in shorts and a white tee. The first one to speak was Ellie who simply said.

"Ellie: Hmm, two kids. Looks like I won the bet! So suck it Rosa!! And "dad", go suck a dick old man!"

She said cheering as Rosa was steaming at losing again, Jules merely laughed at Rosa's anger, Rebecca smiled at her daughter's before heading off to prepare her signature southern peach pie.

Samuel on the other hand, was utterly furious, he could tell by how they carried themselves, they were from the Bronx, and that made him even angrier than Ellie had.

Too be continued....
