The next morning, Annabeth felt more like herself, and wondered if that meant what she thought it did. "Only one way to find out." She mumbled to herself, throwing on her shirt, shorts, and shoes. She brushed her hair, and cleaned her teeth, because she didn't want dragon breath. Then, she made her way to Percy's cabin, and knocked on his door. "Huh? Who is it?" He asked, once the door had opened. Then, he saw her, and smiled. "Annabeth!" He greeted her with a peck on the forehead, and she smiled, too. Then she remembered why she was there. "Do you think you can control water again yet?" He thought for a moment, his eyebrows scrunched together, which she knew as his "I'm focusing" face. "I haven't really tried, so I don't know." Annabeth looped her arm through his. "Then why not test it?" She dragged him to the beach. "I thought this was camp, not school!" Percy complained, but secretly, he was happy, she knew. Her boyfriend loved the water. No matter where. Well....maybe not Tartarus water. But anywhere else was fine for him. As long as he had fun, and was careful, water was his third home, next to camp and the apartment he grew up in. Anyway, he stuck his hand out, as if reaching for the water, and closed his eyes, concentrating. Annabeth gasped. A wave came toward them, and sucked them in, but not before Percy made them an air bubble. "That's much better." She wrapped her arms around his neck, and he placed his hands on her waist, then they shared a long, comforting kiss. It reminded her of their first kiss, underwater, just like this one. And she smiled at that memory. She would never, ever forget it, if she could help it. That memory was unique and precious.
