When Ethan came out of the toilet, Catherine had already made breakfast: toast, fried eggs, and slices of bacon.
Catherine was surprised to see that the man was intact and walked out of the door of her house grandly.
Catherine looked at Ethan strangely. She thought that Ethan would have to at least "extract a confession by torture" to get information from the man's mouth.
"You asked?" Catherine removed orange juice from the refrigerator and poured a glass for Ethan and herself.
"I asked; that guy is just an errand guy." Ethan sat on the chair and looked at the simple breakfast before him, making his index finger move.
"Yes, what is going on?" Catherine didn't delve into what was going on in the toilet, and it is evident that Ethan had his secrets.
Pushing the plate in front of Ethan, the two began to eat breakfast. During the meal, Ethan told Catherine all the news that the man told him.
"It's Kim Bing again!" Catherine knocked on the table angrily.
"Wait a minute, I have to make a phone call." Catherine clapped the table, stood up, and walked into her room.
There were bursts of voices from Catherine's room; Ethan didn't listen to them deliberately but sat at the table tasting his orange juice.
After a while, Catherine exited her room with a much more relaxed expression.
She sat at the dining table, picked up the orange juice, and took a big sip.
"I suddenly remembered something. Would you like to be my bodyguard?" Catherine giggled as she felt the proposal was interesting.
"I'm too busy, but I don't have time to spare," Ethan said.
"It doesn't take long; you must protect me and come to my family. Of course, the price is up to you."
Catherine said seriously, just now she was joking, but now she is serious.
"Sorry, I don't have such worldly desires for money," Ethan said solemnly.
"No worldly desires? yesterday you didn't behave that way." Catherine laughed, rubbing her feet against Ethan's calf under the table.
"Promise to be my bodyguard; you can do whatever you want," Catherine seductively licked her lips at Ethan.
"Catherine, I don't." Ethan was still thinking about rejecting Catherine.
"Hey! You don't think I can't pay the price. Do you know my surname? Falcone!" Catherine raised her slender neck like a swan, waiting for Ethan to exclaim.
But Ethan was sitting in the chair with an expression he didn't know.
"Falcone! Haven't you heard of it? Falcone in New York!" Catherine waved beside her, trying to evoke Ethan's non-existent memory.
After learning that Ethan hadn't heard any news from Falcone's family, Catherine helplessly held her forehead.
"The Falcone family is the largest mafia family in New York. My father is the current leader of the Falcone family. I have no interest in family affairs, so I came to London and became a lawyer." Catherine gave Eason an explanation.
"Oh, that's great; then you can wait for someone in your family to protect you." Ethan spread his hands; he didn't want to get involved in gang fights.
Although killing a Muggle is not much different from pinching an ant to Ethan, Ethan still has no interest in getting involved.
"You are such a ruthless man, Ethan." Catherine looked at Ethan sadly.
"Hey! Maybe that can impress you." Catherine's eyes suddenly lit up. Catherine ran into her room again.
Before long, she came out with a small box from a sizeable, tattered suitcase, and Catherine approached Ethan.
Inside was a ring with a skull engraving and a small mouse.
"Oh, that's good, a ring," Ethan said flatly; he didn't think that a ring with a more peculiar shape could bribe him as a bodyguard.
But soon, Ethan's expression turned serious because he noticed that his witcher necklace had begun to vibrate slightly after approaching the ring.
The ring is a magic item.
"You know this kind of thing! I knew your identity was not simple!" Catherine finally discovered Ethan's secret and said excitedly.
"Okay." Catherine took out the ring and put it in her hand.
Then, she took a white mouse from a small cage in the room.
She raised the ring, staring at the mouse before her, holding her breath.
Ethan looked at Catherine with some puzzlement. He didn't know what Catherine wanted to do. According to theory, Muggles couldn't use magic items.
But a magical scene happened after a while, and Ethan felt a slight magic fluctuation from the ring.
Then, the mouse seemed to be controlled by something, turned around twice, finally stood up like a human, and bowed its front paws to Catherine and Ethan.
Then the mouse jumped off the table and ran towards Ethan, trying to get into Ethan's trousers, but of course, it was unsuccessful. Ethan pinched it and watched the mouse show his teeth and claws in front of him.
This was Catherine's prank, but what surprised Ethan is that Catherine, a Muggle, can use magic items to control the mouse. Ethan looked at Catherine in surprise, and in his recognition, Muggles can't use magical items, but that happened in front of Ethan.
"Catherine, can you lend me this ring to see." Ethan swallowed and said to Catherine.
"No problem." Catherine agreed casually and threw the ring to Ethan.
Ethan took the ring and observed it but couldn't figure out its uniqueness. It seemed that he needed to go to Hogwarts to find a more professional person to identify it.
Then Ethan put the ring in his hand, ready to test the ring.
When Ethan transmits magic power to this ring, he tries to trigger the circle of this ring.
Ethan felt the ring vibrate slightly, but the mouse before him didn't move.
"It seems that you can't use it; let me teach you," Catherine said to Ethan, trembling.
No, the whole room was shaking.
"Is there an earthquake? Let's go outside and take shelter." Catherine took Ethan's hand and wanted to leave the house quickly.
Then, Catherine saw the most terrifying scene in her life. As if being summoned, hordes of mice gushed out from the water pipe of the sink, the toilet, and the ventilation pipe on the roof.
Before long, the floor was covered with a thick carpet of mice.
Catherine screamed and jumped onto Ethan's body, hugged Ethan tightly, her legs tightly wrapped around Ethan's waist like iron hoops to prevent herself from touching the mouse.
Those mice crawled all over the room, surrounding Ethan and Catherine, but there was no mouse near the area around the two, as if an invisible barrier was blocking the contact between the two and the mice.
