"Sirius! Don't play tricks like this while I'm not at Hogwarts! If you want to be with Harry in the future," Ethan's annoyed voice came from the door.
"Don't threaten me!" Sirius retorted.
"I'm Harry's godfather! I can do whatever I want."
Hermione was startled by Ethan's words. Fortunately, she covered her mouth in time, muffling the sound.
Hermione was shocked. She never imagined that Professor Ethan would bring Sirius into Hogwarts. What surprised her even more was that Ethan would betray them. She couldn't understand why Ethan would do this.
Soon, a strong sense of betrayal filled Hermione. She desperately wanted to confront Ethan and ask why he betrayed her trust. But in the end, Hermione's sanity prevailed, even though she had barely muffled her scream. The sound caught Ethan's attention, and she heard his footsteps approaching the door.
Hermione took a deep breath, stood up, and ran down the corridor. By the time Ethan opened the door, Hermione had disappeared around the corner. Ethan looked left and right in confusion but didn't see anyone, so he assumed he was hallucinating after many days of intense work.
Running, Hermione quickly thought about the safety of her friends, Harry and Ron. She now knew that the so-called "Professor White" was Sirius.
Hermione believed Sirius gave Harry the Firebolt with bad intentions. Thinking of this, she quickened her pace towards Harry and Ron.
When Hermione arrived at the Quidditch pitch out of breath, she saw Harry and Ron flying back and forth on the Firebolt, doing all kinds of thrilling acrobatics. Seeing this, Hermione felt fear and shouted their names, waving her hands to get their attention. But Harry and Ron were having too much fun to notice Hermione on the ground, leaving her anxious.
Hermione watched nervously as they flew, holding her wand, ready to catch them if they fell. Fortunately, the accident Hermione feared didn't happen. Eventually, Ron saw Hermione and signaled Harry to land.
"Hermione, have you changed your mind? Come and try it! Harry's Firebolt is amazing!" Ron said excitedly after landing. Harry also nodded happily. Flying on the Firebolt was an incredible experience.
"I need to tell you something," Hermione said seriously to Harry and Ron.
"Mr. White is Sirius Black!"
Hearing this, Harry and Ron were shocked.
"How is this possible?" Harry asked, startled.
"How did you know?" Ron asked nervously.
"I'm eavesdropping at the door of Professor Ethan's office," Hermione said, distraught. She desperately wanted to explain the current situation to her two friends.
"Eavesdropping?" Ron said in surprise. "My God, Hermione, your suspicions are getting worse!" Ron couldn't believe Hermione was now listening in on Professor Ethan.
"I heard something very serious!" Hermione said nervously, lacking the energy to argue with Ron.
"Professor Ethan brought Sirius Black, disguised as an ordinary wizard, into Hogwarts!"
"How is this possible?" Harry said suspiciously.
"Professor Ethan is so sharp; there's no way Sirius Black could hide from him!"
Until now, Harry and Ron had never doubted Ethan, not even for a moment.
"The problem is that Professor Ethan deliberately brought Sirius Black into Hogwarts!" Hermione said uneasily.
Harry and Ron stared blankly at Hermione's face, and suddenly, both laughed.
"Hahaha, Hermione! I admit it's a good joke!" Ron laughed.
"I'm not joking with you!" Hermione's voice sharpened, making Harry and Ron shudder.
"Hermione, have you been reading those Muggle detective novels you brought back?" Ron asked worriedly. "I told you to read less of those; they're making you paranoid!"
"Listen to me!" Hermione couldn't stand her two friends' constant digressions. She grabbed their shoulders and recounted the conversation at Ethan's office door.
By the time Hermione finished speaking, Harry and Ron's mouths were wide open in surprise.
"This is ridiculous!" Harry said in disbelief.
"Professor Ethan brought Sirius Black into Hogwarts to kill me?"
Ron scratched his head vigorously, trying to process the information. "Listen, Hermione, Professor Ethan spent most of the summer with me and Ron. If he wanted to kill us, we wouldn't be alive now!" Harry said.
"I know!" Hermione stomped her feet in frustration. If she hadn't heard it with her ears, she would have thought it impossible and scolded anyone else for such absurd ideas.
"The most critical question now is, what should we do?" Ron asked.
Even though Ron still doubted that Professor Ethan wanted to kill Harry, the situation was severe, and questioning it wouldn't change anything.
After Ron's reminder, Harry and Hermione quickly realized the situation's urgency.
"Let's go tell Dumbledore!" Hermione said firmly, with a hint of righteousness in her voice.
"Yeah," Harry agreed, "Dumbledore must be able to come up with a solution! Maybe he can persuade Professor Ethan to change his mind."
The three of them looked at each other and saw the uncertainty in each other's eyes.
