Ch 76: To be a friend [pt2]

Meria wanted to head home after the dress had been bought, but he could not find a good time to bring that topic up.

Alfred dragged him toward the other stalls that he wanted to try.

Meria had never been a fan of street food since he was not allowed to eat it during childhood.

Kerin had a strictly regulated diet that had to be checked for poison ever so often, and Meria's diet was also regulated since he visited Kerin so often.

"Here, try this candied apple. I've heard that this stall is famous for these sweets. Have you ever had any before?"

Alfred asked as he handed Meria the candied apple; Meria took it with an awkward expression on his face.

He tried to enjoy the apple, but since Meria's taste for it had never developed, he could not enjoy it as much as others would have.

"So, how do you like it? Does the taste live up to its hype?"

Alfred asked excitedly, and Meria tried to pretend the apple was good.
