Caitlyn struggles to fit in and be unique. A freshman at college ready to start a new chapter in her life, away from the pressure of her family. The last thing on her mind now that she's in college was dating, not with the situationship she's in.

Going back to school after a few years at home, Caitlyn felt on edge but not any less excited about going to school, nothing could bring her down from her school-high, especially not her feeling like things are about to change, not exactly bad but not real good either. The voice in her head had been there all her life and was very much pessimistic as she was, so it was easy to dismiss it's derogatory words, and sum it up to her nerves getting in her head. For once in her pretty lame life she felt optimistic.

       The Sunset series is the first book in the Sunset saga, it tells the story of a young woman who finds herself in a place far more different from what she's familiar with, how she struggled to fit in, the reckless life she lived, her  pain and the choices she made good and bad. It shows our flaws in wanting to adapt and be like everyone as well as being distinctive and unique while being like everyone and no one.The feeling of belonging we crave even if it's from the wrong people, the actions we take and decisions we couldn't care less about or think are the perfect choice that ruins us. The Sunset Series

The movie was just getting hot and they had to ruin it with their loud voices. I grunted annoyedly but still greeted them shyly as their attention shifted towards me curiously staring at me as their faces held admiration? And a big question mark as they shared confused glances amongst themselves before turning to the only person they know to have the answer to their unasked question–Aahil. 


"Her name's Caitlin and this is Lisa her friend", Aahil made a sloppy introduction making me give a silent scoff of disbelief. 


But I guess my action hadn't gone unnoticed as one of his friends had caught on, probably was able to because he'd been throwing me glances since he had entered making me feel uncomfortable and self-conscious.
