Chapter 3

"Are you sure it is a good idea for Hannah to use our training facility for someone from the enemy country?" a general said with a bit of worry.

"I'm sure it would be alright if he tries anything we kill him immediately."

Z_0:00 stood blankly with a VR headset on his head and a controller in hand.

"I want to see how far you will go without your V.P.," Hannah said.

They are in a training facility available to the people of the public in the city of this country. Why would they bring him here? Aren't they afraid of him trying to escape and killing everyone in sight?

"The sequence is starting soon," she said. "Don't try to escape, they'll kill you."

He hears her leave and the sequence starts with him in a dark room. He knows what is going on, they put him and several others through this test every month for five years to know how far they had progressed.

The sequence was simply to attack and kill as fast as you could. It doesn't matter the speed of attack, but they should not be too slow if not they would be punished very harshly.

When the sequence started, he saw five soldiers holding guns, they were ordinary soldiers, no V.P. users yet.

He killed them in less than a minute. They are ordinary soldiers, there's no need to waste too much energy fighting them, just do so before they start attacking.

"He's faster than I thought," Hannah said in an observant voice.

"He wasn't this fast in one of your future self's lives?" a general asked.

"He was always faster in all of them, the only time we meet in the future is during the time he loses control and begins a genocide."

"You didn't mention anything about genocide, Hannah," the general said.

"I told you fifty thousand soldiers including V.P. users would die in a single day, didn't I, General Tyson?" Hannah replies.

General Tyson folds his arms and glares at the screen. "He's getting faster," he said.

The door to the viewing area opens and a group of teenagers walk in. They were all wearing cadet uniforms with a V.P. badge on their chest.

Their uniform was a black overall with boots and a pair of gloves. They all saluted when they saw the generals and soldiers present in the room.

"What is going on?"

"Sorry, sir! We had made reservations for this afternoon sir!" one of the students said.

General Tyson pinched the bridge of his eyebrow. "Use another room," he commanded and almost everyone left, except for General Tyson's grandson.

"Why aren't you leaving?" General Tyson asked.

"I called him here," Hannah said getting up and walking to him.

He is a pale-skinned boy with black hair and blue eyes. He is very gorgeous and he has a kind smile on his face. If Hannah didn't know better, she would think he was a sweet boy rather than a little psycho in disguise.

"Lieutenant Evan," he said casually. "What can I do for you?"

Hannah squints her eyes at him. "Your V.P. is to copy other people's V.P. as long as you understand how it works, isn't it?" she asks.

"That is correct," he replies.

Hannah smirked. In the future, he almost managed to defeat Z_0:00, unfortunately, he died a quick but gruesome death with his heart ripped out of his chest. The little screw lose died with a smile on his face, he must have enjoyed that fight a lot.

"Good," she said. "I want you to fight someone."

He scratched the back of his neck. "I don't know," he said in an unsure voice. "I'm not in the mood to fight."

"What are you planning, Hannah?" General Tyson said.

"I'll tell you later, General Tyson," Hannah replies, still looking at him with a smile on her face. "Don't you want to see the person you would be fighting?"

~~~~
The simulation stopped all of a sudden and Z_0:00 stopped moving, he was breathing normally as if he hadn't been moving at high speeds for the past thirty minutes.
He hadn't reached his highest speed, he took off the VR set when he heard footsteps behind him. He turned around to see Hannah and a strange boy standing behind her. He stood around five-foot-eleven inches, two inches taller than he is.
He recognizes him and remembers killing him while he was out of control.
He was a worthy opponent.
"Null, this is Liam, he's going to fight against you for a test," Hannah said.
"You gave your son a stupid name," Liam said bluntly earning himself a stern look from her.
Liam observes the boy before him. He has white hair with grey eyes that are so empty not a thought or emotion goes through them. 'They look nothing alike,' he thought. However, there's something he wants to see in those empty eyes. Anything would be fine, but he wants to see something in them. Anything would be fine.
"Now I have certain instructions to give you two," she said. "Number one is no killing," she said. "Anything else is fine for you, you both may use your V.P., as long as the two of you don't kill, have I made myself clear?"
"Yes, ma'am," Liam says while Null nods.
"Good," Hannah said. "I'll tell you when to start," she said then left.
~~~~

"Are you sure it is a good idea to leave Liam with that weapon?" Another general says in worry.

"Don't worry in the many futures I have seen Null kill Liam with a close tie," she said.

General Tyson's breath hitched. "They were both in their prime and unless he loses control, I doubt Null will want to kill right now," she said lightly.

"Why are you doing this?" General Tyson asks.

Hannah smirks. "I want to check something out," she said.

~~~~
"Come on, Sunshine, at least give me a smile," Liam said moving around him and poking several parts of his body, but got no reaction.
"At least talk to me," he said. He got nothing from him and pouts. 'A difficult one? It's fine they are always difficult the first time,' he thought.
"You may begin."
