True Name 12

I decided to stay in this reality for a bit long for two reasons.

The first one was to get more souls. I had acquired many souls so far but the ones from special races like dwarfs, elves and elementals spirits were not only extremely rare due to how few beings there are in each race but because they all had long lifespans.

Dwarfs gave me more insight into creating things as a whole which was becoming increasingly important for me since I was slowly reaching the level where I could create planets and other complex constructs however, the most precious souls were the spirits due to the unique bond to their element each of them had. Even two fire spirits will greatly differ based on their bond and affinity and these things were very useful to me even at my current state.

The second reason was to give my body more time and I wasn´t talking about evolution. I already had immense amounts of genes that needed to be combined and improved before coming here and before they could all combine, I absorbed a highly complex race that changed the entire way my DNA was build. Due to the change from double helix to quadruple helix I have increased the possibilities by at least three times and that was without taking the other newly genes into account that I gained during my stay here.

I used the time to do something I haven´t done in quite a while, not only because I was busy with other things but because it was addicting- meditating. It was really relaxing and time seemed to move by much faster, thought I still perceived everything around me.

During my decade long nap many things had happened. Apparently, my action of killing a dragon and raiding the demon realm had sparked a war.

To be fair, I wasn´t at fault here, the angels always wanted another war with the demons and after the death of so many high-ranking demons. They saw a chance and used it, can´t fault them for that, I just so happened to be the reason why they got this opportunity.

After the demons and angels started their war, the dragons felt that they also needed to join to avenge their fallen brother. Their didn´t know who killed him but it could only be someone from these two top races, turning the war into a three-sided war. They didn´t have much to lose since the average dragon was equal to a high-level angel or demon, the only reason why the three races were equal was because there were very few dragons.

There was also the fact that angels and demons made a temporary truce to deal with my World Tree, although unsuccessfully. Souls were important resources for both of them, so the fact that I had an absolute monopoly on them didn´t suit them one bit.

At some point the war escalated to the point were even the gods started to throw some punches. I think the demons were the first to summon a god due to their lack of manpower and powerhouses and with such a game changing figure on the chessboard, the angels soon followed suit.

The dragons also had some gods but they didn´t want to pay the price of summoning them, especially since they couldn´t gain anything from this war, so they just stopped participating in the war. They didn´t need souls nor did they desire the extinction of either race, they just wanted to vent a bit of stress as well as pass the time, their extremely long life and lack of entertainment caused them to sleep most of the time, something I could fully understand.

So as the war kept escalating, I continued to reap the rewards. Both heaven and hell were by far larger than any planet I had been on so far, so it wasn´t a surprise that I had gained souls in the tens of trillions.

During my meditation I had also gained some brilliant ideas on how to further increase my power. This new power I was seeking wasn´t something I could get by devouring living beings, instead I decided to set my eyes on the cosmos. I wasn´t in a hurry to get these powers since I could get them in basically every universe I go to, the real was how I was going to eat and absorb these giants.

Not to spoiler but I had some plans for Magnetars, White and Black Holes as well as some other extraordinary stars with unique environments. The Universe was a treasure-trove I hadn´t even begun to fully take advantage of.
