Jealous

Seeing Jillian crying past him, Aileen could not remain silent and immediately chased after the woman. The two of them chased each other until Aileen managed to catch Jillian's arm right near the palace lake.

"Lian, what's wrong with you, why are you crying?" asked Aileen worriedly.

Jillian's head was bowed in a sob, she did not answer the man's question and just stayed silent. Aileen, who didn't understand what was happening, tried to understand the woman's situation. Without hesitation, he pulled Jillian into his arms. He let Jillian cry in his arms so that she could feel calmer.

While rubbing Jillian's head, the man said that everything would be okay. He would always be with her no matter what.

After feeling calmer, the two sat by the side of the lake. Aileen asked once again, what had happened to make Jillian like that? Jillian slowly explained what had just happened, what Dion had told her earlier.

"He's right... I shouldn't have been that angry with him. All of this happened against our will. I shouldn't have said that to him, I'm the one who put us in this situation. If only I hadn't made the request, we wouldn't have ended up like this," Jillian explained.

Aileen who was listening was silent, but his hands were clenched tightly due to his irritation. Jillian leaned against Aileen's shoulder while staring blankly at the lake. "This is all my fault..."

"No, Lian. It's not your fault. You tried to do your best for everyone, you sacrificed your happiness for them," Aileen said.

"But because of me, Dion's happiness that doesn't even have anything to do with any of this has to be sacrificed as well. I may not like him, but I feel guilty because of this."

The red-haired man was speechless, all he could do was accompany the woman who was so close to him. Jillian was glad that Aileen was with her right now, because Aileen was the only thing left from her past.

"I'm glad you're here, you always try to cheer me up when I'm sad. Ever since I was little, you've always been like that." Jillian said.

"You've never changed either, Lian. You always want people around you to be happy, but you forget about yourself."

The woman just chuckled, now feeling better after telling Aileen everything. She didn't know what she would do if Aileen wasn't there with her. The two continued to talk about their childhood.

How they met when they were seven years old until they practiced using swords together. The two of them laughed at each other remembering all that.

At the same time, without they know, someone had been listening to their conversation. He walked away from them into the palace, heading for a room on the second floor. The man knocked on the door of a room and when the owner of the room allowed him to enter, the man went inside.

He saw a blond man sitting by the window looking out, when the man entered, he turned to the man. "What is it, Theo?" he asked.

"I saw Sister-in-Law with that guy again, alone by the lake. Are you okay?"

"What do i care? It's none of my business," Dion replied looking at Theodore with an annoyed face.

Theodore walked over to his twin brother and sat down opposite him. He could clearly see Dion's face looking so upset. "You guys fighting again?"

"Again? Heh, since when have we ever gotten along?"

"You did, a few days ago. You even told me that Lian treated your wound and even went so far as to hold your hand to make you feel calmer, right?"

"It was just a small thing, just because of that, doesn't mean we got along. I don't like women like her anyway. What kind of wife clings to another man?"

For a moment Theodore was silent looking at Dion who was angry like that. Moreover, the look in Dion's eyes seemed unusual to Theodore. He also asked what happened before, because Theodore had seen Jillian running and being chased by Aileen, so he followed them to the lake.

Dion told Theodore what he had said to Jillian earlier. Theodore listened carefully and then let out a long sigh. "Why would you say such cruel things to your own wife?"

"Cruel? I'm just saying what happened. What kind of wife likes being alone with another man, even in front of her own husband?"

Theodore's eyes closed for a moment and he opened them to look at Dion. "Dion... Are you... Jealous?" guessed Theodore.

"Huh?! I'm jealous? Seriously, what am I jealous of?" shocked Dion as he turned his face away.

'It's obvious-' Theodore thought.

"I'm not jealous, I don't like Lian. She's annoying and always does whatever she wants."

"No matter how you deny it, it's obvious you're jealous. You may not realize it, but you feel that way because you know she's your wife. You're jealous because your wife is close to another man."

The blond-haired man just didn't want to respond to his brother's words. Theodore didn't want this to get long, so he told him what he heard from Jillian and Aileen's conversation. About them being friends from childhood, that's why Jillian was so close to Aileen.

"They're just childhood friends, just like you and..."

"Fine enough, I've heard enough. You don't need to remind me of that..."

"Then get up and apologize to her, tell her you didn't mean it." Theodore got up from his place and pulled Dion's hand.

Of course Dion refused, he didn't want to do it. He didn't care if they were childhood friends, it was even worse than what he had imagined. Dion chose to stay in his room and didn't want to go see Jillian. Theodore couldn't push his brother any further, so he left his brother's room and let Dion figure out what to do on his own.

When dinner time came, they went to the dining room to eat dinner together. Jillian who usually sat next to Dion, now chose to sit next to Theodore. She didn't want to be near that man.

"Good evening, Bis sis..." greeted Theodore.

"Oh night, Theo. Just call me Lian. You're above me in age, you're 27, right? I'm still 2 years younger than you. It's not right for you to call me sister," Jillian replied.

"But you married my brother... But if that's what you want, fine."

Jillian smiled at Theodore and started her meal after Emperor arrived. Dinner went on as usual. Dion occasionally glanced at Jillian who was busy with her food. While paying attention, their eyes suddenly met. They reflexively looked away from each other.

Theodore who realized it could only shake his head slowly at the behavior of his twin brother and sister-in-law who had a high sense of prestige. He wondered how it would go between the two of them.
