Looking For Animals

Jillian and Dion glanced at each other, as if having the same thought.

'That bed is mine!!!'

"Oh... Ahahaha... There's only one bed," said Jillian sitting on the bed. "Although it's just a thin mattress, it's quite comfortable,"

"What are you doing? Trying to monopolize the bed?" asked Dion as he folded his arms across his chest.

"What do you mean? This is my bed. You wouldn't let your beautiful wife sleep on the floor, would you?" asked Jillian in a pleading manner.

"Who said that? I don't care if you want to sleep on the ground or not. This is my bed, you move!"

Seeing Dion approaching, Jillian laid herself down on the bed while stretching out her arms and legs, blocking Dion from getting on the bed.

"No way! I'll get it first,"

"Don't make me touch places I shouldn't touch you," Dion threatened.

Jillian reflexively pulled her legs together and covered her chest with both hands. "You pervert, I'll scream bloody murder if you do that!"

"Go ahead, who will come to hear a married woman being held by her own husband? They'll just stay away from our tent, how ridiculous!" said Dion.

"The point is this is my bed, I don't want to share it or sleep on the floor!" said Jillian.

Both of them stubbornly wanted to sleep alone and take control of the bed. Until, they heard the Emperor's voice calling them from outside the tent.

"Dion, Jillian. Now it's time to hunt, are you going to stay in the tent?"

"Huh? Ah yes, of course Your Majesty! We'll catch up!" the woman replied and pushed Dion away.

They both picked up their bows and arrows and exited the tent.

"Why are you making so much noise, your voices can be heard outside the tent?"

"Oh that's--"

"You don't need to think about it, it was just us being a little alone inside, Lian was spoiled because it was her first time camping outside the palace," Dion interrupted before Jillian could answer.

The woman reflexively turned to Dion, again saying things as if she really liked sticking to the man.

"I see, don't make too much noise, it can be heard a lot of people," Ferid said and walked away.

Thud!

Jillian stepped on Dion's foot so hard that it made Dion whimper in pain, without caring about that, Jillian walked away from her annoying husband.

That day the sky was very clear, Jillian looked around while sitting behind Dion who was controlling the horse they were riding. Since she didn't have a horse with her, she had to stay with Dion while the others split up to look for other game.

"Hufft... It's not the animal I want to shoot, it's the person in front of me right now," Jillian muttered.

"I can hear you," Dion said stopping his horse near the river.

The two dismounted and prepared their bows to shoot the nearby animals. Jillian walked around and saw a deer eating berries from a bush. She slowly approached the deer while keeping a close eye on it, watching to make sure it didn't run away.

When she was close, Jillian rubbed the deer's head. She had no intention of shooting the deer, nor did the deer feel threatened by Jillian's appearance and instead looked calm when she touched it.

"It's dangerous for you to be around here," she said. She released the deer to go away.

"Maybe I'd better find a rabbit."

At the same time, Dion was wandering around looking for game. Actually, he wasn't that interested in hunting either, but if he came back empty-handed, his father would definitely think bad things about him.

So he had to get some game, at least maybe a rabbit or something.

"Where are the animals, why aren't there any around here?" muttered Dion.

Jillian who saw Dion pass by her, slowly followed the man. She wanted to know what animal her husband was going to catch.

Before long, Dion spotted his prey. He found a large jungle rabbit. He took aim at the rabbit and shot it.

Stab!

"Oh I did it!" Dion walked over to the rabbit and pulled out his arrow. "I finally got one."

"Good, good, it turns out my husband is very good at hunting. Yes, even if it's just... Small animals only," said Jillian who appeared while clapping her hands.

"It's not easy getting rabbits, you know? They're very quick to run and dodge," Dion replied.

Jillian rolled her eyes, knowing that rabbits were not that hard to get. While they were busy arguing, they heard a loud thud. Like something falling to the ground.

"What was that?" asked Jillian.

"I don't know," replied Dion, looking for the origin of the sound, with Jillian following behind him.

When they found the origin of the sound, it turned out to be the sound of a beehive that had fallen and shattered because a bear had knocked it over.

"Oh my... It's a grizzly bear..."

"Slow down... Don't make sudden movements. Back away slowly." Dion pulled Jillian backwards slowly away from there.

However, seeing the two of them, the bear no longer cared about the beehive and approached them.

Seeing that, Dion immediately drew his sword and pointed it at the bear.

"Go, I'll keep him here!" said Dion.

"You want me to leave you with a ferocious bear like that? You've got to be kidding me!"

The bear stood up, which made Dion and Jillian even more surprised by the bear's enormous size.

"Do you still want to fight it?" asked Jillian.

"I don't think so. I'm too young to die now."

"Heh, I thought my husband would sacrifice his life for his beloved wife," Jillian teased.

"Can we not make a fuss at a time like this?" asked Dion.

ROAAARRRR!!!

The bear roared so loudly that both of them lost their nerve and ran away.

"I told you we should've run earlier!" said Jillian as Dion pulled her hand away.

"I didn't know he was that aggressive! Never mind, don't talk too much, we have to avoid him first!" Dion retorted.

The two of them continued to run away from the large and ferocious grizzly bear through the dense trees. Neither of them knew which direction to run, but they definitely wanted to get away first.

While running, Jillian tripped over a tree root that made her fall and slip out of Dion's grasp.

"Lian!" Dion looked back to see his wife who had fallen.

"Khh..." Just as Lian was about to catch up with Dion, she heard a crashing sound from behind her.

Jillian slowly turned her head and found the bear in front of her at the moment. With his mouth drooling like it was starving, it walked towards Jillian.

Jillian's eyes followed the bear's movements as it stood up and looked so big, preparing to pounce on her.

ROAAAARRRR!!!
