Holding Responsibility

The day Dion had spoken of war finally arrived. He had to leave for a long time to go down in a war for another kingdom to become part of Keintheart.

In the morning, Jillian helped Dion put on his armor. Ever since she put it on, she only looked silent as if she was speechless. Yet in her heart she did not want him to leave.

"Lian," Dion called as he lifted his wife's chin. "Don't look so sad, it's hard for me to leave when you're like this. You know I have to, right?"

She nodded. "Sorry, I'm just not used to you going off to war."

"I know. It's not your fault, so there's no need to apologize." Dion kissed Jillian on the forehead.

They left the room and walked to the front yard of the palace. Ferid and Theodore were already there, waiting for Dion to join them.

"Well then, take care of yourself. I'll be back as soon as the war is over." He rubbed Jillian's belly. "I'll leaving first."

"You take care too. You have to go home!"
