The Fear That Happens

As Dion had promised, he took Jillian to the lake near the forest, where they had once gone. This time Dion brought his long sword and a dagger as a guard.

"Oh that dagger looks really pretty," Jillian said when she saw it.

It was a silver-plated dagger with rubies adorning it.

"Yes, this is the gift my mother gave me before she died. The last birthday present she gave me," Dion replied.

"It must be a very precious thing to you."

Dion nodded, he always guarded the dagger and didn't let anyone use it but him.

After getting changed, the two of them went to the lake. Jillian held on to Dion tightly, enjoying the time the two of them were taking to the place.

Spring had arrived, the warm sun shining down on them both as if smiling at them.

"Dion, if it's a girl, do you think she'll look like me or you?" asked Jillian.
