Ashes Chapter 2

Dear diary, today was the 1st day Jerry was at the estate, however I was unable to see him as I had to keep my existence a secret as much as possible, also I didn't have much time to fill this in. however I did hear that Jerry and Lisa were dancing alone in a room together.

I feel awkward about it though.

Dear diary, today something terrible happed, Jerry was framed and was kicked out of the estate, I just wish there was a way I can help him, I'm trying my best but I just can't figure out anything, I hope everything clears up soon.

Jerry; the diary ends here. Seems this was the last moment before she went back to Heiwa. Anyway, what does this piece of paper at the beginning of the diary say?

Read the notebook.

Jerry; I see, so I should read the notebook first.

Then Jerry started reading,

The tale of the man and dog. (synopsis)

There was ounce an old man who had absolutely nothing, no house, no food, no clothes but the rags he wore around. He had no friends, he was always living in the slums and had been since childhood, however one day he was blessed by this dog who woke him up from his slumber. The dog disturbed him and he found it a nuisance. However, as the man would soon find out, the dog only wanted to show him something, it was some money that someone dropped. The old man then took the dog in and for years the dog would bring him all sorts of things, from blankets to meat. Somethings the man would sell and others he would keep. He grew to love the dog and even named it love. But after years of the two living together, one day the dog was shot. It turned out, the dog would sometimes steal from others and bring it to the poor man. However, when he found out it was too late. On his way home, the man found the body of his diseased friend and held it in his arms.

"why, why did you have to go before I did?"

It turned out, the man had an Illness and didn't have much time, everything he sold, he wanted to use the money so love could have a better life. But it seemed all for not now. All he felt was pain and misery as he held his friend. The next day he buried his friend and while sitting down on his grave, he looked into the sunset as he smoked a cigar. He just stared into the distance as life slowly left his body. By the time night fell, he was already dead. When people came to the sight, they found writing on the ground, it said,

"before love, I had nothing, when I found love, I had everything, but when I lost it, nothing mattered because it was not the things that love provides that brought joy or happiness, what was truly brought those things, was love itself"

Jerry; wow, that would have made a really good book.

Jerry then opened the paper from the diary and read it saying,

Jerry, I know I don't say much or get close to people that often, but at least now you know why. I wanted you to see this because I was planning on going away and travelling the world, but before I do so, I planned to do something special for you, whatever that was. Still I hoped you enjoyed my book and one more thing, I love you. I may never get the courage to say that in person but I do, I want you all to myself even though I know I can't have you. Still, I hope you're well. All you of you.

Sincerely,

Your friend, Hinata.

Jerry; *I see, so it seems you never had any intention of dying that day. I'm so relieved at least*

Then Jerry went outside the house, and sat on the roof, as he stared off into the distance and wept. The next day, he visited Hinata's grave with Tom and Jake. And at the place where her house was, a monument was built in her honour. The name Hinata Naomi Ga-den was to be remembered as a hero who saved the Ga-den clan.

[If it weren't for her, the clan would be doomed to ruin and the secret leader would be dead.]
