Chapter 22

Elder Carolina led everyone except for Macy and the children. They were going to the balcony on the first floor. Ed wanted to follow as he also wanted to know more information about his family but was stopped by Cynthia. 

She grabbed Ed's collar when he was sneakily following the adults. 

"What is it, sis?" Ed asked as he was stopped by Cynthia and he couldn't go any further or else he would choke. Also with a tug, he left the ground for a few seconds. 

'Hell, how strong is she? I thought I was dragged by a muscle and bulky machop' 

"You stay here" Cynthia smiled, but this smile scared Ed. 

'Right my sister is beautiful but I am worried about her future husband. Maybe he will be henpecked? If it was Earth this scary sister would be one of the top real-life wife material even though she was nothing fictional there she was already a waifu. Those guys would gladly sacrifice their souls for her 

Ed thought as he felt pity for the poor soul for the future, as his cousin was like a Tsareena. 

"Sis, Bounsweet was a nice Pokemon for you. Your like a Bounsweet" 

"?" Cynthia was confused by her cousin's remark 

"What are you talking about? Are you saying I'm cute? Oh come on now Ed, after you're cured you have become cute too you know turning into a flatterer" Cynthia smiled as she happily accepted Ed's praise as she dragged him back to the living room. 

'No, I'm just thinking you're the same proud and aggressive. Also, no, she has the same character as Tsareena. But I want to criticize her, but I can't or else the one in trouble will be me and Grandpa' Ed sighed and followed his cousin. He couldn't do what he wanted to say or else he and Grandpa would be scolded by Grandma like when he laughed about the cutting of Diglett and told his friend Steven what it meant but Grandma heard him. 

When Ed was released by Cynthia, Macy went to put Violet to sleep in her room. The only ones remaining in the place were Cynthia, Daisy, and him. 

Daisy was still playing with the Pokemon. Ed saw that his Pokemon had many accessories on their body. He could see that instead of the kid getting tired the tired one was Ralts. 

Daisy put on a necklace, bracelet, and a hairpin on Ralts. When Daisy first met Ralts she didn't go near the Pokemon but when they finally got close she turned Ralts into a doll. 

Everyone could leave Daisy as long as Ralts was with her but this tired Ralts as he not only needed to watch over Daisy he also needed Cleffa for her mischief. 

When the first time Daisy saw the cute Cleffa she was so scared that she cried which startled Ralts and Azurill. But they only saw Cleffa hanging and Spinarak guarding the pokemon. 

The adults heard this and went to pacify Daisy. When they asked Daisy what happened. She told the adults while weeping about Spinarak, the adults saw Cleffa crying while being hanged with Spinarak beside her and had its abdomen making a scary face. They learned about Ed's punishment to Cleffa, then Daisy got scared of Ed until Ed could only release his mischievous Cleffa.

Due to Daisy being scared of Spinarak, Ed couldn't let the pokemon be a guardian for Daisy and Cleffa. Also when Ed wants to punish Cleffa when she steals Aunt Ralia's makeup, Daisy stands for the pokemon as she rebukes Ed for scolding the cute Cleffa. This made the mischievous Pokemon happy and turned Daisy into her shield against Ed and his other Pokemon except Ralts. 

Ed couldn't help but cry as his pokemon would always follow Ralt's instructions more than his. (T^T)_ 

But when Daisy is playing with Cleffa, the little one will act like a doll and obediently follow his little cousin. This made Ed sigh in relief as this pokemon could stay put. 

In the present, Daisy was doing a small fashion play with the pokemons. Dressing the pokemons in the dress and makeup they borrowed from Aunt Ralia. 

These dresses were Cynthia's when she was still between one to three years old. They were doing a fashion walk and Daisy was teaching them catwalk. 

'Is this kid one year old?' Ed thought when he saw this. 

When Daisy saw her cousins return she invited them, no she invited Cynthia to play with them. 

 But before Cynthia could answer two eggs shone. Cynthia immediately went closer to the eggs and saw that the two eggs that were shining were the Gible and Trapinch eggs. 

Ed followed Cynthia, he saw Cynthia removing the incubator from the egg so he followed suit and also removed the incubator from the Trapinch egg. 

When the two of them picked up the eggs, the two eggs shook and started hatching. 

The two of them were shocked as the two eggs continued to shine bright. 

After the light receded the two of them were now holding two pokemons. 

Ed looked at the pokemon in his hand and saw that it was really a Trapinch and he looked at its data.

The pokemon looked at Ed before it opened its mouth and bit Ed. Ed was shocked at first but he only felt that the bite was like a massage as the pokemon nimble at his hand. 

He peeked at the pokemon Cynthia was holding and saw a Gible happily snuggling Cynthia.

Aptitude: Diamond I 

Ability: Sand Veil, (?)(unlock lvl 40)

Moves

Attack: Sand Tomb, Tackle, Bite

When Ed saw the data of Gible he didn't need to compare between the two, not only did Gible have a higher aptitude , he also had a large number of attacks. 

Add that Gible is a Diamond aptitude pokemon, he could use all of its moves. 

Pokemon could learn many attacks and unlike in the games they won't forget their moves. But during the battle they could only use move limitly; Steel and Bronze aptitude could only use four moves during battle, Silver 5, Gold 6, Platinum 7, and lastly Diamond could use all of their attacks. 

As he was looking at Gible his attention returned when he felt a pain on his arm. He looked at Trapinch who had bitten his hand hard this time. 

He thought that Trapinch was jealous but the emotion he sensed in the pokemon was hunger. 

"You're hungry?" Ed asked Trapinch but the pokemon strengthened its bite on his hand. 

"Ow Ow ow, hey" Ed scolded Tranpinch but the pokemon looked at him with confusion. 

Ed sighed and took out a Moomoo milk and a berry and gave it to Trapinch. The pokemon immediately let go of Ed's hand and started drinking the moo-moo milk. 

Gible who was snuggling Cynthia saw that her brother was eating and looked at Ed for a few seconds before she hid her face on Cynthia's chest. 

Noticing Gible's action Cynthia looked at Ed and reached out her left hand as she stared at her little brother. 

Ed took out another moo-moo milk and oran berry and gave it to Cynthia. Gible saw that Cynthia gained a portion of food for her as Cynthia fed Gible gently. 

Ed looks at the interaction between Cynthia and Gible and compares it to him and Trapinch. Trapinch also looked at the two and saw that Cynthia was feeding Gible so he copied and opened his mouth. 

"Hehehe'' Ed laughed when he saw Trapinch's actions. He fed the pokemon his Oran berries. Due to the two pokemon being dragon pokemon they didn't need milk for survival and could eat soft food. 

After eating, Trapinch yawned and was searching for a place to rest. He remembered that Trapinch and Gible needed warm sand for their resting place. 

Ed took Trapinch as Cynthia followed suit and she also put Gible to sleep. Daisy was curious why her cousins hadn't returned yet so she searched for them with the help of Ed's pokemon. 

Daisy saw Trapinch and Gible and after looking at the two pokemons and their appearance she lost interest as the two pokemon were not her type of pokemon. She is more inclined towards cute pokemon and the two pokemon were not cute if you tell me. 

She couldn't comprehend why her cousins were caring and had an adoring look at the two big-mouthed pokemons like how her mother and father looked at her little sister. 

Daisy continued her fashion show play with Ed's pokemon until Ralts carried her toward Alan's room. Cleffa was already asleep as Daisy held her so Cleffa accompanied her to sleep. 

Macy searched for the three kids and found out about the hatching of the twins. She was surprised as the two were just born last night and now they had hatched. 

So she put the two pokemon into a sand bath and the two pokemon happily swam in the tub of sand. Macy explained to them that most ground-type pokemon need to have a sand bath when they hatched to warm their body and protect them from moisture that could be bad for their health. 

As Ed was helping take care of the pokemon he felt drowsy and saw that it was already late. Ralts, who had returned on tucking Daisy to sleep, guided his trainer to his room. All of his pokemon except Pikachu followed him to his room.

On the other hand, the adults were talking. Well, most of it was Elder Carolina's scolding while Grandma Talya and Ralia pacified her. 

Alan could only take all of his mother's scolding. Carolina asked about Violet and Rose could only sigh as Alan forgot to introduce Violet to his parents and only introduced Daisy. 

After Carolina's scolding, they talk about the plan for the event next week and the plan they suggested for Cynthia. They also talk about their plan for their grandchildren/children. 

Carolina is more worried for her two new granddaughters as she couldn't trust her son. So she proposed that she wanted to take care of her two granddaughters but was rejected by everyone as after this month everyone would return to their work. 

So she could only have time with her granddaughter for a month as Rose and Alan need to return to Kanto as Rose still needs to do gym leader duty.

After the talk with Carolina and her family, Grandpa Yun and Grandma Talya were walking together. Yun saw that his wife was contemplating something as she was walking in a daze. 

"Talya, is there something wrong?" Grandpa Yun asked 

"Well, Carolina and Jin's family was getting merrier." Grandma Talya said

"You're right" Grandpa Yun responded and knew what his wife was thinking so he added

"If only our two sons could settle down with their partners." 

Hearing Grandpa Yun's words, Grandma Talya sighed. Their first son was still courting his tomboy girlfriend and the other one who was almost in his engagement with Macy was hospitalized and was still in a coma. 

The only one who gave them their only grandchild was their daughter. But the elder couldn't trust her and her husband in taking care of their Ed and the sickly grandchild of theirs would always be close to danger due to them. 

The two would always let their pokemon become a guardian for their son but they couldn't ignore that the two would let a Charmander, a pokemon known for their short temper, watch over their grandson. 

They could accept a pokemon who was good at taking care of their young, such as Kangaskan.

 But they stopped bothering the couple when they brought Gardevoir and Gallade to be a guardian. (It was when Ed was still staying in Kalos with the forest pokemon) 

"Sigh" Grandma Talya sighed as she had a headache when it came to her children even though she did her best to raise them to be moral and good citizens. But maybe she taught her children so much about serving the masses that they forgot about their well-being and happiness.
