HwaHwa lived a comfortable life in Go mansion. Though, there was a time when she suffered from their negligence but these days felt like a boon where no one cared for her or questioned her whereabouts.
Until the first day of December came, at midnight someone knocked on the door of her courtyard alerting the residents.
Inside her courtyard to the maids of mansion, HwaHwa maintained an image of a poor child suffering alone in misery, till one looked at the cottage closely.
She had minimalistic things in her room but each and every thing was bought with precision and quality.
But they were all unnoticed to anyone unless one looks attentively at the things in the house.
Young maid was standing at the door, she looked at both the master and servant disdainfully " First madam, is having contraction. Physician is called for that, old madam wants you to go to prayer hall and pray for the young ones about to be born and safety of first madam"
Yes young ones initially it was announced by the imperial physician Jin that first madam was pregnant with twins and everyone and for this everyone wished for dragon-phoenix pair.
HwaHwa nodded, Ling Qi quickly changed the clothes of young Miss and both of them reached the prayer hall.
Go family prayer hall was partitioned, one side had ancestral tablets and other side had statue of Buddha looking at the mere mortals with love and blessings.
Ling Qi handed papers to her young Miss who started copying scriptures seriously.
She looked at Ling Qi while copying " go look at the status of first madam and inform me about the outcome".
Nodding Ling Qi disappeared among the fog that covered the courtyard.
While the Go mansion was anxious there was stillness and calmness in prayer hall.
While writing she looked at the smiling divine face of Buddha " it's is said that views about humanity can be divided into three major classifications:
1. The view that God controls the destiny of man.
2. The view that the destiny of man is determined by coincidence.
3. The view that man's life has been determined by destiny or fate since the eternal past".
Thoughtfully she asked the calm presence sitting there, my birth in this house was it a design of God, a chance of coincidence or just what was destined to happen.
But in all this scenario was I given a chance to ask if I was willing to accept such fate.
She had an arrogance in her tight jaw, as if challenging the one deciding everyone's fate.
She stared fixedly at the Buddha as she proclaimed.
If it's a design of God, I will change the foundation that it was based on.
If it's just a coincidence, I will break each and every chance of misfortune to reach me.
If it's already written somewhere I will tear down the script it was based on.
My fate will be decided just by me and no one else.
As young HwaHwa was sitting there staring blankly at Buddha , black ink from calligraphy brush dripped on the paper.
Just then two echoes of cries echoed in the house alerting the residents of their arrival.
HwaHwa tore the paper of calligraphy as she smiled in disdain for the future that those children will have because after being born in this house they have become the pawn in HwaHwa's game of chess and she only knew that she will be the last victor in this that was for sure.
