Aviation Thermobaric Bomb of Increased Power (ATBIP), nicknamed "Father of All Bombs" in the 21st Century. With a 44t TNT blast yield, a bomb filled with high explosive and fine aluminium powder and ethylene oxide mix, no creatures can survive in the explosion.
The Red Army experienced such a massive charge from the orcs and the undead in 1979, that the bomb was originally designed to counter their charge. However, the Red Army has overrated them and never thought that they were the only time that could threaten the USSR.
In the day, the Red Army Aviation bombers dropped a couple dozen bombs to clear all the potential Valeria army positions. From the beginning of the war until now, the Soviet strategy still used the same thought, with absolutely superior fire, any conspiracy or tactics will be useless.
The line that orcs and Valeria take almost a year to build, does not hold any longer than the other two lines. It collapsed easily when they were swarmed by the Soviet mechanized wave from both ground and air.
General Gregor witnessed all these happen, sigh.
"Let's return to the Valeria, we have lost the war, the orcs and undead have lost the war. Our only hope will be the one we are going to summon in the future. Hope the Thalor are progressing on their portal."
Finish speaking, Gregor with a low expression, turned and walked into the portal beside him.
On the other side, oppositely, the chief of staff in the command post is celebrating their upcoming victory.
"URA!"
Orgarkov, Zaitsev, and Gerasimov are cheering together with the rest of the staff.
"Comrades! We are getting close to the final victory, keep the fire, and for another few weeks, the threat from the orcs will be forever removed, just because of your hard work. URA!"
Another cheer and applause from the staff. After that, is the discussion between them.
"Comrade Marshal, it was a surprise that our troops had achieved so much in such a short time. We still thought it would take some time to do that. Aaghh, again, you overpowered the orcs and the undead." Zaitsev said with a smile.
"Nothing wrong with overrating our enemies Comrade Zaitsev, fewer soldiers will sacrifice because of our well-prepared. Of course, I must admit, our plan could be more aggressive if we knew that the orcs are not that strong."
"Comrade Marshal, I believe we could enter the last phase of the operation. Kill or capture the king of this orcs kingdom?" Gerasimov aside asked.
"Yes, Comrade Gerasimov, we should. But the problem is, do we know where is the king hiding? Even if we do, I doubt that there is something else that the orcs have not shown yet. Remember what the 'Will of Nation' said, the 'God' do exist in this world. We have to find something to counter it before we conduct the operation, or else it will be too rushed sending our troops to die."
"Comrade Marshal, my answer would be simple, just nuke, nuke, and nuke! I would like to see whether the 'God' in this world is stronger or our nuke. Even if there is something that can protect them from the nuke, we still have a special squad that can do with it, isn't it? This would be a risky operation, but if we succeed, the process of this war will be boosted, even ending it, we should give it a try." Gerasimov continues to express his opinion.
Orgarkov took some time to think about it and nodded.
"Great Comrade Gerasimov, you have convinced me about it. I will deploy all our satellites and aviation to search for possible orcs king's base. Comrades, prepare yourself for the final battle, we might see and experience things we have never seen before."
For the next few days, the Red Army advanced almost without resistance. From the beginning of the war, no orcs have capitulated or surrendered until more and more of them do that. When most of their soldiers were replaced by old, weak, disabled, and young orcs, an officer knew what the orc's kingdom was experiencing then.
Until today, a coordinate and satellite picture was submitted to Orgarkov.
"Use ICBM, carry with the biggest yield of the nuclear head we have, bomb this place. Ordered those divisions that are closest to here to start approaching. Ask Marshal Oleg Losik's reserve tank army to manoeuvre there as well. Ordered Colonel Chernov's battalion and the VDV manoeuvre to the rear, resupply and prepare for the upcoming battle."
"Comrades, I am confident that this is the most significant battle between us and the orcs. If we win the battles, the orcs kingdom will never exist."
As ordered, all the troops started to do what Orgarkov asked. A few ICBM carry with bigger yield of nukes have been launched. However, the results were unexpected, there is a bad and good news.
"Comrade Marshal, the good news is, we have confirmed that it was the base of the orc's king, and the bad news is, it is too solid, our nuke attack on it could only able to remove the surface on it. The underground, or what is inside the surface has been exposed, you may have a look."
Orgarkov gets the photo from his man and sees that, inside the surface where soil and plants have been removed, the plates are rough, almost obsidian-like, with cracks and deep grooves running through them.
Fortress of jagged, bony dorsal plates, rising like a serrated mountain ridge from the base of its thick. The spines vary in size, with the largest ones forming a distinctive triple row along its spine, their edges sharp and irregular, resembling molten rock frozen in mid-eruption.
"So we do experience something like the god now huh? Sending ground forces to assault them is our only choice now?"
"I believe it may be true, we do observe there is some entry on these mountains, and maybe sending forces in is our only choice, but they will have a very high risk."
Orgarkov sigh,
"Necessary sacrifice is needed, just do as what I have ordered."
"Affirmative."
