Diluc the Noble Pyro

Ever since Diluc was saved by Aether and brought to Mondstadt, he now works happily with Amber and the other Pyros. He usually works with the twins and Xingqiu. The others would say, "Oh what do we have here, quite an unusual pairing, a set of twins, a Hydro and a full-fledged Pyro, now that's a rarity" The four would just chuckle and continue on. When the others would ask Diluc about his epic adventures, they were quite amazed by what they heard. "Diluc is amazing!" said Yoimiya. "He has resource!" chimed in Hu Tao. "And sagacity, he is an example to us all!" finished Xiangling. "Oh you're too kind" Diluc said while blushing. Unfortunately, this made him have a high opinion of himself. Next day, Diluc had a very important job to do, he had to deliver several groceries up on Xiangling's Hill. Diluc then came up with a plan to deliver them in one go, he put the groceries in wagons, then connected the wagons with the rope, then finally tie the rope around his waist. The others warned him to be careful, but he took no notice. "You all think I can't manage, the others say I'm wonderful, and Xiangling says I have sagacity!" he fumed. "You may have veracity or whatever, but-" "Say no more, Aether, it's rather a pity but the ol' Pyro would just have to learn for himself" Lumine finished. Diluc was climbing up the hill with no issues, but that's when he heard a loud snap, the rope string broke and the back two wagons came rolling down the hill. The other two followed suit and pulled Diluc down, one minute he was on the top, next minute he was on the ground. The back two wagons crashed into Dori's house, the little Electro was so furious that she'd almost literally and figuratively cursed up a storm. Xingqiu came soon after to see what had happened. "Oh dear Diluc, you might be a veracious Pyro but we don't exactly approve of these things, oh Aether and Lumine would have the extra workload for the day" he said before leaving. The twins spoke crossly in their American slang, while Amber spoke crossly formally while inspecting the damage. "I'm sorry Amber, I don't feel like a veracious Pyro, I just feel stupid" Diluc vented. "As you should, but the important thing is that you're okay, and next time, don't try to be sagacious, will you not?" Amber stated before leaving, while having Diluc feeling rather silly about his actions. Next day, everyone was busier than ever, everyone had jobs they were doing, running left and right to the hideout and back. Diluc was getting ready to do his job when he saw a young Hydro besides him combing her hair, she was blonde and had long pigtails. Diluc wanted to say something, but remembered what Xingqiu told him about not all Hydros being bad. "Hello, I'm Diluc, who are you?" he asked. "The name's Barbara, mind you" she said in a stern voice, then she observed everything. "Stupid nonsense, I wouldn't been doing all this running around, would've pulled a tendon or something" she went on. "Well I'm glad you didn't, but we Pyros do like our jobs, no matter how hard they get" "Pfft, enjoyment is all you Pyros care about, come the revolution, when you all will be, ahem, burned out and we Hydros shall come out on top, just like Furina was trying to do, extinguish the Pyros, relinquish the Hydros!" she chanted before heading for her job, Diluc felt rather insulted. When Diluc told Aether about her, he just chuckled. "Yeah that's Barbara for ya, she's not much of a threat, really" he assured before heading out. When the two met again, Aether wasn't smiling. "Barbara's friend has come, she's a Hydro too, she's doing Barbara's job so that Barbara could do ours before us!" "But she can't do that, that's against the protocol!" "But she says that she knows a shortcut to get the job done too, so we need to catch up to her when we get the chance" informed Aether. Barbara thought that by going under the bridge that separates Mondstadt and Liyue was a shortcut, unfortunately she was too tall, and she got stuck, meanwhile having all the locals' needed supplies. Diluc was walking on top of the bridge when he saw Barbara there. "That's the harrowing hydronic heretic, she told us that we would get our supplies quickly, but she lied, she got all of our stuff mixed up!" the locals cried. "Well, guess I'll go sort the stuff out for you guys" Diluc told them as he was walking along the bridge. "Stop, this doesn't look stable, what if it falls on me?!" "That would serve you right for telling lies" whispered Diluc. Diluc finally sorted out the mess and got the locals their needed supplies, now feeling like a true Pyro. As for Barbara, she lied about having her friend do her work, Amber sent her back home where she got a long scolding from Jean, her older sister, now wishing that she never told lies in the first place.
