New Electro on the Block

Amber introduced the new Electro to everyone. "This fine lass is named Keqing, she'll be doing Klee's work while she's, um, you know" Dori and Sayu were surprised. "Beg pardon, Amber, but will she still be when Klee comes back?" asked Sayu. "Well that all depends on her behavior and even so, however long she's here, make her feel welcome" "Of course, Amber, we will, but are you going to be out boss?" they all asked together. "Bless you no, Lisa's going to be charge, now if you'll excuse me, I must attend to my work" said Amber as she rushed off. Keqing was a peculiar Electro, she had good manners but was a bit hard to please. "Alright Keqing, welcome to the hideout, I'm Dori, that girl in a panda suit is Sayu, and those two witches are Mona and Lisa" "It is nice to meet you all, but you mean to tell me that you sleep in tents and not houses" said Keqing. "Well yeah, but it's not that bad really, it's comfortable for a start and you have one all to yourself" comforted Lisa. "No thank you, I rather sleep in the hideout instead" "Well, whatever suits you, youngster" said Lisa. Usually early in the morning, Klee delivers crates full of milk to the nearby dairy, it's was Keqing's job now, she didn't like it one bit. "I have to wake up early just to deliver some milk?" she asked. "Yes, you can do it, can't you?" said Dori. "I'm sorry, but I won't" Dori smiled, "Why is that, aren't afraid that you might drink it all?" "I keep telling people, these are not cat ears, they are horns, ask Ganyu" exclaimed Keqing. "Well, it's doesn't matter but what does is that you need to deliver those crates" "No Dori, I'm sorry but I'm not carrying those crates" Dori, Mona and Lisa tried persuading Keqing but it was no use. "I just don't understand, said Dori, why Amber would bring us such an ignorant-" "Ignorant?!" spluttered Keqing. "Why you son of a-" "Bitch, stop arguing and get your work done" Mona snapped. And with that being said, Keqing at last finally delivered her crates. That night, the others could talk of nothing else besides Keqing. "Don't be too upset" said Lisa. "She's just young and still learning, just give her time" "Yes we understand that, but at the same time, she was offered to fill in for Klee, so she should expect to do some tedious tasks around here and not lumbering about arguing with everyone" said Mona. "Really, well she doesn't sound very different from a certain Hydro around these parts" smiled Lisa. Mona blushed, "That may be true, I just hope the best for ol' Keqing" "We do too, Mona, we do too" yawned Dori, and they all soon feel asleep. Next day, Kirara came to help out the Dendros, and almost instantly her and Keqing were chatting like old friends. "So you do a little delivery service thing, yes that's nice but did you know that I'm in the Liyue Qixing?" said Keqing importantly. "The what?" "The Liyue Qixing, you know, we're a committee that basically governs over Liyue" "Who's all in there?" Kirara asked. "Well there's me, Ningguang, Ganyu and a few others" "But don't they live in different areas?" "And you live in Inazuma and yet you come here from time to time, quite similar, isn't it" winked Keqing. "You are quite a feisty Electro, I'll give you that" remarked Kirara. "Yeah, but the others think that's a bad thing, they're all nothing but Debbie Downers!" she complained. Kirara just sighed and said, "Well depend upon it, dear Keqing, anything these Sumerians can do, we felines can do better" "For the last time, I'm not a-" Keqing stopped herself and just said thank you before leaving. "Alright youngster, you have several crates to deliver, I've labeled them so they would be distinguishable, alright?" said Lisa. "Yeah, you got it, Lisa" replied Keqing. " Labels, what do I need labels for, I can manage without them, but I do need to fix my behavior, so far I haven't made a good first impression" And so, Keqing finished her work with no issue, she was about to rest when she heard a ship's pounding horn. "Oh dear, Keqing, looks like you have one more load to deliver" said the others. "Nah, I'll ask Mona if she could do it for me. "But-" "I'm tired, ok, you kids wouldn't understand" Mona took a deep breath when she heard the news. "Well she has been improving somewhat since she came here, so I'll do it for her" she said. The rising temperatures had made the glaciers from the Regisvines melt and the water has been rushing all throughout the lakes and rivers of Sumeru. The bridge that Mona was crossing when she was heading home wasn't sturdy at all. She was halfway crossing it when the water levels increased and it was a racing torrent, Mona tried to run but she couldn't in time as the water broke the bridge in half, and Mona was holding tight to what was remaining. "A torrent came and broke the bridge apart, Mona needs help!" cried Lisa. Keqing got up instantly. "Don't worry, Mona, I'm coming!" she said bravely. "No one's come yet, I don't wanna die, I'm too young and I haven't-" "Hello Mona, how are you?" asked Keqing happily. "Skip the pleasantries and get me out of here!" "Alright then, now grab onto my sword, quickly now" Keqing was going forward just a tiny bit, she didn't want to be swept away herself. "I can't reach it!" said Mona desperately. "You can, come on!" encouraged Keqing. Then at last, Mona was in Keqing's reach and she pulled her back to land. "Oh thank you, Keqing" said Mona. "I didn't think you would actually help me since I've been rude to you and vice versa" "Yeah, well Lisa told me that you saved her from a torrent, thought I might return the favor" smiled Keqing. Everyone was impressed with Keqing when she and Mona returned home. "I am proud of you, Keqing but I'm afraid I do have some bad news" said Lisa mournfully. "And what may that be?" answered Keqing. Just then, Klee came back feeling good as new, Dori and Sayu were relieved. "We're glad you've come home" they said. Keqing was starting to worry, Mona noticed this and decided to speak up. "Excuse me, Klee, but Keqing has been phenomenal since she came here so can she, uh-" "Come here from time to time to help us out, of course she can" said Klee. Keqing was so overjoyed that she hugged Klee so tight that she nearly broke her back. "Ok, Keqing, I don't wanna be sent back again" laughed Klee. "Goodbye Keqing, we'll miss you" "I'll miss you all too, bye bye!"
